Property Brothers star Drew Scott has infused his son Parker's nursery with deeply personal and sentimental touches that will warm any heart. In a recent revelation, the HGTV star and his wife, Linda Phan, shared that one of the pieces of furniture in the room once belonged to Drew and his twin brother, Jonathan Scott. It's a heartwarming reminder of family legacy and love passed down through generations.

In a heartfelt video posted on his Instagram page on Wednesday, October 12, the TV personality and his spouse took fans on a tour of the nursery, highlighting a cradle that has been in the Scott family for an incredible 46 years. This isn't just any cradle—it's the very same one that rocked Drew, Jonathan, and even their older brother J.D. during their infancy.

From the Past to the Present: A Family Heirloom

Drew, now 44, couldn't help but reminisce about the cradle's history as he showed it off. "This was the one that I was in as a kid, Jonathan was, and J.D. was," Drew shared with a nostalgic smile. The cradle, which has been a part of the Scott family for nearly half a century, holds a special place in the hearts of the family members.

Linda, 37, expressed her surprise and delight at learning that Drew and Jonathan's parents, Jim and Joanne Scott, had kept the cradle all these years. "We had no idea," she said, her voice filled with excitement. Linda, who works as the Scott Brothers Entertainment creative director, finds it "so cool" to have a tangible piece of Drew's childhood in their home now. It's not just furniture; it's a connection to their shared past.

A Journey Through Time: Restoring the Cradle

The cradle's journey from barn to nursery wasn't without its challenges. As Drew explained, "My mom and dad had this flat-packed. It was wrapped in a blue tarp for four decades and it sat in their barn for the most part. And so, it was in rough shape." Despite its condition, Drew and Linda were determined to bring it back to life for their little one.

To ensure the cradle was safe and functional for Parker, the couple called upon Anthony, their construction lead, to refurbish it. Anthony worked his magic, restoring the cradle so that it could rock back and forth once again. Drew emphasized the importance of using non-toxic paints and finishes during the restoration process, ensuring that Parker would be safe in the cradle that had rocked so many generations of Scotts.

A Special Surprise for Mom and Dad

The couple revealed their son's nursery in a YouTube video shortly after welcoming him on May 4. Fans got another glimpse of the cherished cradle in a video Drew posted on Instagram on September 26, where he playfully captioned the video, "Training Parker to bring home that Mirrorball Trophy." The cradle has already become a central part of Parker's life, and Drew and Linda have plans to make it even more special for their parents.

Drew excitedly suggested to Linda, "Can you imagine that Jonathan and I were both in it together at the same time? I have pictures of me and Jonathan as babies in this. I think it would be really cool to get our baby in that and send it to Mom and Dad." It's a touching idea that will no doubt bring joy to Jim and Joanne, knowing their grandchildren are continuing a tradition that started decades ago.
