Let’s talk about Brooke Shields. The legendary actress, who’s been married to her husband Chris Henchy since 2001, has been spending more time with him than ever before. Thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, Brooke, the star of Pretty Baby, has been giving fans an inside look at her quarantine life with Chris, an American screenwriter, and their two daughters, Rowan and Grier.
Brooke Shields on Quarantine Life: Adjusting to New Routines
Now, you might think that being married to the same person for over two decades would mean you’re used to each other’s quirks. But Brooke, who’s now 55, explained during a virtual appearance on The Talk on June 18 that quarantine life has been a real adjustment. Normally, she and Chris have hectic schedules that keep them apart for short stretches. "It’s not like we’re ever apart for huge periods of time—it’s always like a four-day, three-day," Brooke said. "Just enough time for me to establish my rules and my routine, and then he comes and destroys it." Sounds like a lot of couples could relate to that!

When Work Takes Over: Navigating Schedules Together
It’s not just Brooke who has to deal with Chris disrupting her routine. When it’s her turn to head out on the road for work, she joked, "He sets his tone, and I come in and destroy it." This quarantine life has forced them to navigate their household together more than ever before. Brooke noted that because they both spend so much time traveling, adjusting to life at home has been challenging. Due to social distancing measures put in place earlier this year, Brooke and Chris, 56, have been stuck at home with their family for months.

A Little Space Can Be a Good Thing
Brooke joked about their past living arrangements, saying, "We used to live on separate coasts for a while, and I was like, 'It’s separate bathrooms, just a little farther.'" But now, after years of being apart for work, the couple finds themselves asking each other things like, "Do you have to hold your spoon like that?" It’s clear that even the most loving couples need their space sometimes.
Staying Entertained with TikTok and Family Fun
Brooke, the star of Endless Love, revealed that she’s staying entertained thanks to her daughters, 17-year-old Rowan and 14-year-old Grier. While chatting with CBS cohosts Sharon Osbourne, Marie Osmond, Carrie Ann Inaba, Sheryl Underwood, and Eve, Brooke talked about participating in her eldest daughter’s TikTok videos, including the one where Rowan playfully hit her in the face with a purse.

Brooke explained the hilarious clip, saying, "It’s a thing, you do it with groceries, but you usually do it from the back of the head. I guess it’s a TikTok trend or whatever." The proud mom shared a laugh-worthy video in mid-May where Rowan played a prank on her by whipping her in the face. "What she forgot was she had a bottle of sunscreen... a metal one of those spray bottles of sunscreen," Brooke added. "She clipped me so hard in the mouth—she felt so horrible, she was crying after. I thought it was funny... and then I called her a bad name." Sounds like family bonding at its finest!

Time Off with Family: A Much-Needed Break
Considering Brooke has been juggling her Hollywood career with being a mom and wife for nearly two decades, there’s no doubt she deserved this time off. However, the Golden Globe nominee once said that a little distance can make the heart grow fonder. "A little space is good," the Law & Order: SVU actress exclusively told Closer Weekly.
