Life has a way of reminding us how precious every moment is, and for Lisa Marie Presley, October 21 was a day filled with both love and heartache. On what would have been her late son Benjamin Keough’s 28th birthday, Lisa took to Instagram to honor her "beautiful, beautiful angel." In a deeply personal post, she shared an emotional message, capturing the depth of her sorrow and unwavering devotion.
“I worshipped the ground you walked on, on this earth and now in Heaven,” Lisa, 52, wrote alongside a tender throwback photo of Ben celebrating one of his birthdays. “My heart and soul went with you.” Her words resonate with anyone who has ever experienced the profound ache of losing someone they love so deeply.

Unyielding Love and Enduring Pain
“The depth of the pain is suffocating and bottomless without you every moment of every day,” Lisa continued in her heartfelt post. She openly shared her struggle, allowing her fans and followers to witness the raw emotion behind her words. As the only daughter of the legendary Elvis Presley, Lisa has always had a spotlight on her life, but this moment felt particularly intimate and vulnerable.
Lisa, who shares Ben and daughter Riley Keough, 31, with her ex-husband Danny Keough, also has 11-year-old twin daughters Harper and Finley with her ex Michael Lockwood. She poignantly noted how Ben's passing has forever changed her. “Please wait for me my love, and hold my hand while I stay to continue to protect and raise your little sisters and to be here for Riley,” she wrote. “I know you would want that.”
In a final farewell, Lisa added, “Happy birthday, my sweet, sweet boy. You were much too good for this world.” Her words paint a picture of a mother who not only mourns but also celebrates the life of her beloved son.
Riley Keough's Tribute to Her Brother
Lisa Marie’s eldest daughter, Riley Keough, also paid tribute to her late brother on social media. In a simple yet powerful post, Riley captioned her tribute, “Happy birthday, beautiful angel.” She shared photos of the brother-sister duo at her 2015 wedding to Ben Smith-Peterson, capturing moments filled with joy and love. Through her Instagram Stories, Riley shared a series of sweet childhood throwbacks, reminding everyone of the bond they once shared.

Benjamin Keough's Tragic Passing
As Closer Weekly previously reported, Ben tragically passed away at the age of 27 on July 12 after suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The autopsy confirmed the cause of death. At the time, deputies responded to a "rescue response" call at a home in Calabasas, California. They found Ben suffering from a gunshot wound and pronounced him dead on the scene.
“[Lisa Marie] is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated, but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter, Riley,” Lisa’s representative Roger Widynowski told People shortly after Ben’s death. “She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.”
Since the tragic loss, Lisa’s younger children have been by her side, offering their unwavering support. “The family is gathering together,” a source exclusively told Closer Weekly in July. “The family is devastated. They’re all worried about Lisa.”
