The workouts are intense but rewarding. They focus on exercises in the pool, which James says are particularly challenging because they emphasize breath control. “When you’re underwater, you really have to work your lungs,” he explains. “Especially in today’s world, with the pandemic, keeping your lungs healthy is more important than ever. That’s what motivates me to get into the water every single day.”
A Day in the Life: The Couple’s Routine
James and Barbra’s daily routine includes a mix of activities that keep them both mentally and physically engaged. In addition to swimming, they spend an hour in the sauna and another in an ice bath. “I’ve got an ice machine and a tub at home,” James says. “It’s not just about cooling down; it’s about recovery and maintaining peak fitness.”
