From 'The Sopranos' to Hallmark: Steve Schirripa's Exciting New Chapter
Hey there, friends! Let me tell you something about Steve Schirripa. This guy has had an incredible journey in the world of acting. Starting with roles in iconic shows like The Sopranos and Blue Bloods, he's now diving into the heartwarming world of Hallmark movies. In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Steve opened up about his experience filming Sisterhood, Inc., a brand-new Hallmark movie that's got everyone buzzing.
Steve, who played the unforgettable Bobby ‘Bacala’ Baccalieri on The Sopranos, shared his excitement about taking on this fresh challenge. "I've never done a Hallmark movie," he admitted. "I was offered one years ago, and it was, believe it or not, a bucket list thing. How many guys can go from The Sopranos to Hallmark? But I made the jump, and I was very happy. I had a wonderful time."
Shooting Sisterhood, Inc.: A Heartwarming Experience
Steve took us behind the scenes of filming Sisterhood, Inc., a Valentine's Day-themed movie shot in the scenic Albany area. "We shot it up there, and it's a Valentine's Day kind of movie," he said. "The cast is wonderful, and I really had a good time. I hope to do more. I liked it."

For those who haven't seen the movie yet, it stars Hallmark veteran Rachael Leigh Cook, Daniella Monet, and Leonidas Gulaptis. The story follows corporate executive Megan as she starts a board of directors to improve her younger sister's chaotic life. Along the way, she finds romance with a psychology professor who helps uncover her tough exterior. A trailer for the movie was released on Hallmark's YouTube channel earlier this month.
A Different Kind of Role
Steve reflected on how working on a Hallmark movie was a completely different experience compared to his previous roles. "It was very nice," he said. "No arguing, no killing, no nothing. Even on Blue Bloods, which I loved, I must've killed four or five people. I killed more people as a cop than I did as a mobster!"

Steve said he's watched many Hallmark movies in the past and loves the "nice vibe" they bring. "It's a mood booster, you know?" he added. "And working on this movie was just a fantastic experience."
Saying Goodbye to 'Blue Bloods'
Recently, Steve and the Blue Bloods cast bid farewell to the police procedural drama after its milestone season 14. His character, Anthony, played a crucial role in helping the Reagan family solve a gang war happening in New York City. The show's final episode drew 6.68 million live+same-day viewers and solidified its place as one of CBS' most iconic and beloved series.
In a behind-the-scenes special that aired ahead of the December 13, 2024, series finale, Steve opened up about what it was like working with Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, and the rest of the talented cast. "A lot of TV and a lot of actors, they're not very nice," he candidly told the camera. "But here, they're as nice as you think they are. It's family, and I think that's what the audience sees and feels."
