Both women grew up in the spotlight, navigating the challenges of being child stars. “She kind of had that childhood background as an entertainer,” Marie explained. “That’s another component that I think is important to understand—what it’s like to grow up in the public eye. There are definitely pros and cons to that experience.”

Marie knows firsthand what it’s like to be thrust into the limelight at a young age. As the youngest of the Osmond siblings, she learned early on how to balance her music career with her personal life. While Selena might be the perfect fit for Marie, finding someone to play her husband, Steve Craig, is a whole different story. “Who could play my husband? Nobody. Because he’s perfect,” Marie joked. “I don’t know who could take on that role. He’d have to be an incredible athlete because my husband was—and still is—amazing.”

Steve, who’s 65, recently surprised Marie with a spontaneous vacation. “My husband is super cute,” she shared. “He called me out of the blue and said, ‘Pack for two weeks. We’re going on a trip.’ I still don’t know where we’re going, but I’m excited to find out!”
On top of their mystery getaway, the couple also plans to visit Jerusalem this year, along with plenty of other adventures. While they love exploring new destinations, they also cherish the quiet moments at home in Utah with their kids and grandkids. “We love staying home too,” Marie said. “Sometimes we just binge-watch Netflix or do absolutely nothing—and that’s just as fun as doing everything!”
