Back in 2011, Ree Drummond stepped into the spotlight as the host of The Pioneer Woman on Food Network, bringing her Oklahoma ranch to life through her cooking show. Over a decade later, fans have been curious if the culinary star has plans to leave the network for other ventures. Let’s dive deeper to see if she's still gracing our TV screens and what keeps her there.
Is Ree Drummond Still Dominating the TV Scene?
Before she was a TV star, Ree Drummond was already making waves with her wildly popular blog, The Pioneer Woman, which launched in 2006. Readers flocked to her site, drawn in by her detailed recipes and heartfelt stories about her life on the farm. Her blog’s success didn’t go unnoticed, and it earned her an invitation to compete on Throwdown With Bobby Flay in 2010. One year after wowing the judges with her winning dish, she landed her own show, The Pioneer Woman. Since then, she's become a household name, sharing not only quick and easy recipes but also comfort foods that bring families together. Beyond her TV career, Ree continues to update her blog, sharing personal insights into her life in the spotlight and updates about her kids—Alex, Paige, Bryce, Todd, and her foster son, Jamar—all of whom she raises with her husband, Ladd Drummond.

Ree’s influence has grown far beyond the small screen. She’s expanded her brand into homeware, clothing lines, a series of successful cookbooks, children’s books, and even opened The Pioneer Woman Mercantile, a bustling storefront in Oklahoma that serves as a bakery, restaurant, and market all in one. Despite juggling multiple businesses, Ree remains committed to her TV career. In February 2023, she shared a clip from The Pioneer Woman on Instagram, featuring one of her nostalgic childhood favorites. "I would like to announce that on my Food Network show this morning, I made homemade SpaghettiOs," she captioned the video. "They were splendid. Just as good as the original!" But don’t let her culinary prowess fool you—filming a cooking show has its quirks. "EATING ON CAMERA IS SO FREAKING AWKWARD!!" she joked. "There are seven people watching intently behind the scenes, there’s a sound guy listening closely to my chewing, and I can’t talk with my mouth full, so there’s always a weird silent pause. But other than that, it’s great."

Is Ree Drummond Stepping Away from Food Network?
While rumors have swirled that Ree might be ready to start a new chapter in her career, there’s been no official word about her leaving Food Network. What we do know is that she made a significant change in her personal life—moving out of the home where she raised her kids. "It wasn’t a charming 50-year-old house," Ree explained during a May 2022 interview with People. "We loved raising our kids in the house, but it had foundation problems and had developed a few issues that would be overwhelming to fix." The family opted for a smaller house right next door, moving in during December 2021. "We packed our things and walked across the yard—it was so funny—and moved in," she added. It seems that while Ree’s personal life continues to evolve, her passion for cooking and sharing her story with fans keeps her firmly rooted in the Food Network family.
