Fast forward to today, and Wynonna’s son Elijah is all grown up. He married his wife, Hailey Williams, in October 2020. These days, Elijah is working as a police officer, proving that he’s following in his mom’s footsteps when it comes to dedication and hard work.

Wynonna also shared how bittersweet it was to celebrate the birth of her granddaughter just before losing her mom. “Somebody said, ‘Are you angry?’ I said, ‘Hell yeah. I’m angry. My granddaughter was born 12 days before she left. I have anger,’” she admitted. “But then I realized after the compassion and all the pieces, that there’s some real joy there and to celebrate the joy as much as I can.”
