Fast forward to July 2017, and the couple exchanged vows in a beautiful wedding ceremony in Birmingham, Alabama. David, who works as a realtor, and Rachel, an Alabama-based teacher, tied the knot surrounded by their closest friends and family. David shared with KWTX just how special the day was: "The wedding was a blast. It was fun and extremely special to have so many of our closest friends and family with us as we made this commitment to the Lord and each other.”

Interestingly, the couple lived in David’s 'Fixer Upper' home in Waco, Texas, for a while after they married. But life took them to Alabama, where they started their family. Despite moving, they still own the Waco house and visit it regularly to reconnect with family and friends in Texas.
Meet the Ridley Kids: Ayla and Georgia
Life for David and Rachel took a turn for the even sweeter when they welcomed their first child, daughter Ayla Rose Ridley, on November 1, 2019. Rachel was over the moon, sharing her excitement on Instagram: “She is such an amazing gift, and we’re so thankful the Lord chose us to be her parents! We love our girl so much.”
David also shared his joy, noting how fatherhood changed him instantly. “Let’s just say my priorities shifted overnight,” he wrote on Instagram shortly after Ayla’s birth. “All I want to do is hang out with her, love on her, hold her and watch her sleep. I love her!”
Then came another chapter in the Ridley family story when their second daughter, Georgia Marie Ridley, was born on November 7, 2021. Rachel once again shared her joy, captioning a family photo: “We’re so grateful for the gift of another incredible girl!”
