Ryan Seacrest is a household name, and his jam-packed schedule includes hosting multiple TV shows, a successful radio gig, and various business ventures. Despite his hectic life in Hollywood, Ryan has always kept his family close to his heart. Whether it’s through his work or his philanthropic efforts, family remains at the core of everything he does. Let’s dive into Ryan’s personal life and find out more about his family and future plans.
Is Ryan Seacrest a Dad Yet?
As a beloved broadcaster, Ryan has always been admired for his dedication to inspiring young people through education initiatives. In 2010, he founded The Ryan Seacrest Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on building broadcast media centers in pediatric hospitals. These centers aim to bring joy and a sense of normalcy to kids who are dealing with serious illnesses. When you’re a parent and you have to use one of these hospitals, it can be a tough and unexpected situation. That’s why Ryan’s efforts are so meaningful.
“You’re not quite sure what’s going to happen,” Ryan once shared in a May 2023 interview with E! News. “It can be very difficult. And when I see a mom laugh or smile or even shed a tear because their child is having a great day, or a child’s having a moment where they’ve made new friends or they’ve become the star, that’s why this is important to me.”

Right now, Ryan does not have any kids of his own. However, he’s an amazing uncle to his adorable niece, Flora, who was born in December 2018 to his sister, Meredith Seacrest, and her husband, Jimmy Leach. Flora is a ray of sunshine in Ryan’s life, and he cherishes every moment with her. While he doesn’t have kids yet, Ryan has expressed hopes of starting a family of his own someday.
“I think having kids at the right time would be great,” Ryan shared during an August 2022 episode of Live. “I have a fantastic family, a very small family. I have a niece; Meredith has a daughter. My parents have been married 52 and a half years, so that’s a high bar. So that’s in my head.”
On top of that, Ryan has even expressed interest in babysitting his American Idol co-star Katy Perry’s daughter, Daisy, whom she shares with Orlando Bloom. “She’s mentioned the babysitting opportunity, just not officially,” Ryan told People in January 2022. “She and Orlando have never officially said, ‘Hey, Ryan, we’re going out tonight. You’re in charge all by yourself.’ But I would be willing.”

Is Ryan Seacrest Settling Down Anytime Soon?
Ryan has never been married, but he was in a serious relationship with his girlfriend, Aubrey Paige Petcosky. The couple started dating in the summer of 2021 and quickly became inseparable. Fans were rooting for the two to walk down the aisle, especially after Ryan revealed in the past that he almost proposed to a partner once before.
“I didn’t do it and it was the right move,” Ryan said during a May 2017 episode of Live, discussing the idea of marriage with cohost Kelly Ripa. “But I love the idea — and I know you’re going to ask me — of marriage because my parents have been married for 47 years, and so I have this thing — and you’ve been married 21.”
As for potentially proposing to Aubrey in the future, fans were hopeful for a happy ending. “I hope you two get married, you make such a cute couple,” one follower commented on Aubrey’s August 2023 Instagram post following a romantic Italian getaway with Ryan.

Unfortunately, Ryan and Aubrey’s love story didn’t have a fairytale ending. On April 24, 2024, a source confirmed to People that the couple had split after three “beautiful” years together, noting that it was a “mutual” decision. “They plan to stay in each other’s lives as good friends and support one another’s endeavors,” the insider added.
The news of the split came as a shock to fans, especially because the two had discussed the idea of starting a family together. “Ryan is notorious for dragging his feet when it comes to settling down, but he and Aubrey have definitely discussed having a baby,” a source exclusively told Closer on April 22, 2024. “She would like a wedding first, which has been something Ryan has avoided all his adult life. Time will tell, but Ryan is turning 50 at the end of the year – he better hurry up.”
