Let me tell you a story about Erin and Ben Napier. These two dynamic individuals, who you might know from their hit show "Home Town," took on a new adventure with their spin-off series "Home Town Takeover." Filming the first season in Wetumpka, Alabama, was no picnic. In fact, it was one of the most challenging experiences they've ever faced.
Season 1: A Test of Endurance
Erin, now 38, opened up to People in an interview on June 4, saying, "Season 1 nearly killed us. It was the hardest thing we had ever done." Picture this: Erin was pregnant, they had a toddler running around, it was the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, and they didn’t know a soul in town. But life has a funny way of working out. Now, with their daughters, Helen, 6, and Mae, 3, they have more flexibility to bring them along for the ride. "They’ve been here with us every step of it," Erin proudly shared.
Life on Set in Sebring, Florida
Fast forward to season 3, and the Napiers have relocated to Sebring, Florida, for filming. Their daughters, Helen and Mae, have been loving every minute of it. "Their life here is totally different from our life back home," Ben, 40, explained. "They’re on vacation, they’ve been swimming every day." Erin chimed in, adding, "They swim and fish and take field trips to the orange grove. This is a dream for them." It's not just the kids who are having a blast. The entire family has been soaking up the summer vibes, even though they're working harder than ever.

Prioritizing Family
Despite their demanding schedules in the home improvement world and running their businesses, Erin and Ben have always put their family first. "We have to have our priorities straight," Erin emphasized. "And our first priority is what will be when there is no TV, and what was there before there was TV, and that’s me and Ben and the girls. So, that’s the priority." It’s clear that for the Napiers, family comes before anything else.

Just recently, the Napiers celebrated Mae’s 3rd birthday with a Christmas-themed bash. "Our tiny baby is THREE and all she wanted was a Christmas party," Erin captioned some photos from the event on Instagram. "So, we made Christmas cookies, lit Christmas candles, brought a little potted tree with ornaments on the porch, grilled hot dogs, blew up a waterslide in the yard, and listened to Bing Crosby." Fans couldn’t get enough of the winter wonderland birthday party theme and were definitely inspired by the whimsical photos. Even Ben got into the festive spirit, dressing up as Santa Claus for the occasion.
HGTV host Jasmine Roth couldn't help but comment under the post, saying, "So cute!!!! I can’t believe she’s 3. Also, is this Christmas party a thing because my daughter asked for it the other day too and it really surprised me!"
