This revelation prompted the LAPD, in conjunction with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, to launch a criminal investigation into the circumstances surrounding Matthew’s death, suspecting that he may have obtained the fatal dose from someone else.
“They’ve been actively searching for Matthew’s killer,” an insider revealed. Brooke, a celebrity in her own right, met Matthew in rehab, and they formed an unexpected friendship. Despite being tight-lipped about the situation, Brooke has hired lawyers and had multiple meetings with law enforcement since they served her with a search warrant at her sober living house.
