It’s not every day you witness a celebrity go through something so deeply personal and still manage to stay strong. HGTV’s Christina Hall is doing exactly that right now. As she navigates her recent split from Josh Hall, she’s leaning on what truly matters—her family and friends. Over the weekend, Christina gave her followers a peek into her life as a single mom of three through her Instagram Stories. It’s a testament to her resilience and focus on what truly matters during tough times.
Spending Quality Time with Her Youngest Son
In one heartwarming post, Christina, 41, shared a special moment with her youngest son, Hudson. The two were at what appeared to be a petting zoo, where Hudson, dressed in a playful lion-print T-shirt and shorts, fed vegetables to a llama. Watching her little boy hand lettuce and cucumbers to the gentle animal was a touching reminder of the simple joys in life. Hudson, just 4 years old, couldn’t help but comment, “He’s trying to steal the whole package!” This playful interaction brought a smile to Christina’s face and showed how much she cherishes these moments with her children.
For those who may not know, Christina shares Hudson with her ex-husband Ant Anstead, whom she was married to from 2018 to 2021. Even though their relationship ended, it’s clear that both parents are committed to giving Hudson the love and support he needs to thrive.

Bonding with Her Daughter and Friends
A little while later, Christina shared another touching moment, this time with her daughter Taylor. The 13-year-old was pictured sitting on the floor during a fun sleepover with her friends. “Love her friendships & sleepover nights at home,” Christina captioned the photo. Taylor, along with her brother Brayden, 8, are the result of Christina’s previous marriage to Tarek El Moussa, which lasted from 2009 to 2018.
These moments highlight Christina’s dedication to fostering a nurturing environment for her children, even amidst the challenges of her personal life. It’s clear that her priority is ensuring her kids feel loved and supported, no matter what’s happening around them.

Understanding the Split
It’s been nearly two weeks since Christina and Josh, 43, officially filed for divorce. In their respective filings, they listed slightly different dates for their separation—July 7 for Christina and July 8 for Josh. While the exact reasons behind their split haven’t been fully disclosed, insiders suggest that it wasn’t due to dramatic issues like infidelity. Instead, it seems that the couple simply grew apart over time.
“Apparently, it wasn’t anything dramatic, like cheating, they just weren’t seeing eye to eye anymore. It’s been going on for a while,” an insider revealed to Closer. “They just started drifting apart, and the farther they drifted, the more they realized that the spark was gone. Eventually, they both realized that nothing was going to change, that’s when they decided to end it.”
However, the divorce hasn’t been entirely smooth. Christina recently accused Josh of withdrawing $35,000 from her account without permission, as stated in new court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight. “I am asking for Josh to account for the funds taken and return them to me as those funds are specifically used to pay any loans, obligations, property taxes, insurance, and maintenance for these rental properties,” she explained in the documents.
Christina Speaks Out
In a candid Instagram Stories post on July 25, Christina addressed her split from Josh, showcasing her unfiltered honesty. “Over here waiting for the typical Hired PR rep speech of ‘how I was blind-sided and how I’m working on myself and taking time to heal at her ranch,’” she wrote. “Meanwhile, I’m over here not as nice and quiet as I used to be.”

Her message continued with a strong declaration of her hard work and determination. “I have worked my ass off to build this life for myself and my children and anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve/what they did NOT work for should be ashamed,” she stated firmly. “An insecure man with a large ego can sure try and derail you – but ‘still i rise.’”
Christina concluded her thoughts by reminding everyone that divorces don’t happen overnight. “For those that aren’t aware… divorces do not happen overnight & there is always a breaking point. This one is personal,” she wrote, emphasizing the emotional weight of her decision.
