There’s nothing quite like leaning on family during tough times, and Christina Hall is doing just that. Following the news of her divorce from husband Josh Hall, Christina has been focusing on what truly matters—her boys. The HGTV star shared a heartwarming moment on Instagram Stories, capturing herself lounging with her two sons, Brayden and Hudson, just hours after Closer confirmed Josh, 44, had filed for divorce.
Summer Vibes Amid Life’s Challenges
On Tuesday, July 16, Christina, 41, posted a sweet photo of her and her sons curled up on a couch, pajama-clad and smiling brightly. The caption? “Summer sofa sleepovers 🛏️❤️ My sweet boys.” It’s a simple yet powerful reminder of how important family can be during life’s ups and downs. For Christina, who has faced more than her fair share of changes over the years, this moment seems to reflect her resilience and focus on what truly matters.
A Complicated Family Dynamic
Christina’s family life has always been a bit of a patchwork. She shares Brayden, 8, and Taylor, 13, with her first ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, from their time on Flip or Flop. Then there’s Hudson, 4, whom she welcomed with her second ex-husband, Ant Anstead. Despite the complexity, Christina has always managed to keep her kids at the center of her life, no matter the changes around them.

Interestingly, Christina and Josh never had children together during their nearly three-year marriage. Still, Josh was often seen in photos on social media enjoying time with the kids, proving that he was a supportive stepdad in their lives.
The End of a Chapter
Josh’s divorce filing cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. The couple’s wedding date, which had been kept under wraps, was revealed as October 6, 2021. They quietly tied the knot before hosting a larger ceremony in Hawaii in April 2022. According to court documents, their separation date was listed as July 8 in Josh’s filing. Christina, however, filed for divorce as well, listing their separation date as July 7. She also requested to restore her maiden name, Haack, signaling a return to her roots.

Work and Marriage: A Delicate Balance
The news of their split came as a surprise to fans, especially since Christina and Josh were set to appear on the new show The Flip Off, alongside Tarek, 42, and his wife, Heather Rae Young. Just weeks before the split, Christina spoke about what it was like working with Josh on the show, as well as on Christina on the Coast.
“I’m just so used to doing it and, like, I just have a very, kind of, go-with-the-flow dynamic on camera,” she told Us Weekly on July 2. “I don’t take things too seriously, and I feel like this is something that I really talk to Josh about a lot—like, who I am day-to-day is different than who I am on camera.”
She went on to explain how their dynamic evolved over time. “Bickering on camera is not necessarily full reality,” she shared. “It’s like a character. So, there’s just so much conversation and dynamics and things that have to be talked about on and off-camera. I mean, it is challenging to work with your spouse, especially if they’re not used to being on TV.”
A Marriage Built on Communication
Just days before the split, Christina opened up about her relationship with Josh, revealing what made their bond so special. “Just trying to keep communication open and then just having the alone time when we can—whether it’s date night, going on little trips, just things like that,” she told E! News.

At the time, she also shared an update on her career and life. “It’s been really good,” she said. “I just love where I live, I love my family, and I love doing these shows. So, I feel like everything’s going really well.”
