Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, the charismatic duo, are bringing their beloved show to a breathtaking new location for a special series of episodes. Fans are in for a treat as the pair heads to their dream destination—Palm Springs, California.

Why Palm Springs?

Palm Springs has always held a special place in Kelly and Mark's hearts. This enchanting desert oasis is where the couple has created some of their most cherished memories. For years, they've been talking about bringing the show to this sun-soaked paradise, and now, their dream is becoming a reality. The tapings will take place at The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort and Spa, setting the stage for unforgettable episodes.

Mark’s Take on the Move

In an exclusive interview with People, Mark, 53, shared his excitement about the upcoming trip. “We manifested this. We really, really did,” he revealed. “It’s one of our favorite places. I think we started talking about it and we were just joking. We were like, ‘We should do the show there,’ to [Michael] Gelman.” Mark continued, explaining how their enthusiasm caught the attention of the city of Palm Springs, leading to this incredible opportunity.

  • Despite the rumors swirling around, the couple insists they haven't permanently relocated to the West Coast. For now, they're still happily settled in their Manhattan penthouse. However, the allure of Palm Springs continues to call to them, making it the perfect spot for these special tapings.

A Special Place in Their Hearts

Palm Springs holds a wealth of memories for Kelly, 54, and Mark, who have been married for 28 years. Their love affair with the city began over a decade ago when they attended a glamorous party at the Merv Griffin Estate in La Quinta. “We were just gobsmacked by how beautiful it was, by the perfect weather, the crystal blue skies, the mountains, the people, everybody was in a good mood, the fruit trees. Everything about it appealed to our sensibilities,” Kelly reminisced in an interview with The Desert Sun.

Since that first visit, Kelly and Mark have made it a point to return to Palm Springs whenever possible, even if it’s just for a quick getaway. “Every opportunity we got to go back, no matter for how brief, and it was always brief, always a two-day trip, a 24-hour trip, we would leap at the opportunity to take it just because it meant more to us to be there than the travel time to get there,” Kelly added.

    The Upcoming Tapings

The Palm Springs tapings are set to happen on November 10 and November 11. Fans can expect a vibrant and lively atmosphere as the couple shares their passion for this beloved destination with the world. These episodes will not only showcase the stunning backdrop of Palm Springs but also highlight the cherished memories the family has created there over the years.

Kelly expressed her enthusiasm about the upcoming trip, saying, “This is one everyone is excited about. Sometimes we’ll do remotes, and it seems like, oh boy, logistically this is going to be tough, or wow this is going to be a lot of work. Everybody universally is excited about coming to Palm Springs.”

    Future Plans

Earlier this year, Kelly hinted at her desire to move to Palm Springs in the future when she retires. “I’ve been dying to take up bridge,” the Emmy-winning host shared with her Live audience during a January 11 episode. “Here’s my plan: we learn bridge; the next phase to learning bridge is you move to Palm Springs. That is the way it goes. That is the natural progression of your life.”
