There’s nothing quite like the joy of watching the next generation thrive, and Jane Seymour knows this all too well. The legendary actress couldn’t help but beam with pride as she celebrated her 6-year-old granddaughter, Willa, during the 2020 Oscars on Sunday, February 9. Speaking with Closer Weekly at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Viewing Party, the Live and Let Die star couldn’t stop gushing about her little starlet.
Meet Willa: The Rising Star in Jane Seymour's Family
Jane, now 68, is as radiant as ever, and her joy was palpable as she spoke about her grandchildren. "The grandkids, they’re just incredible," she said warmly. Among them, one stands out—her granddaughter Willa, who's about to turn 7. This little bundle of joy isn’t just any child; she’s already making waves in the world of acting. "Willa has already won two acting awards," Jane shared excitedly. "She stars in a short movie her mom [Katherine Flynn] directed and wrote. It's called Towns, and it’s absolutely fantastic."

Family Business: Acting Runs in the Blood
Jane couldn’t be prouder as she sees her daughter Katherine’s eldest child stepping into the limelight. "It seems like we’ve got another actress in the family," Jane said with a smile. She added, "And Katie is also performing right now in a movie that I’m a part of. It’s truly a family affair." Jane’s excitement is contagious, and it’s clear that the Seymour family has a knack for storytelling.

Advice from a Legend: Be Authentic
As Jane spoke about Willa's burgeoning acting career, she emphasized the importance of staying true to oneself. "Willa is a natural talent," Jane said proudly. "She’s simply amazing." When asked about advice for her granddaughter, Jane had a simple yet profound message: "Just be yourself. If you're authentic, people will appreciate who you truly are. You don’t have to pretend to be something you’re not." It’s clear that Jane’s wisdom comes from her own journey in Hollywood.
Jane, who shares children Katie, 38, and Sean Flynn, 34, with her ex-husband David Flynn, and is also the proud mother of 24-year-old twin sons Kristopher Keach and John Keach with ex-husband James Keach, admitted that she doesn’t want her kids and grandkids to repeat her past mistakes. "When I was younger, I was always trying to please others, trying to be what I thought I should be," Jane confessed. "But at 20, I realized I needed to focus on being myself. Now, I paint, produce, do my own hair and makeup, design clothes, make jewelry, write books, and even fundraise. Life is about exploring your passions."
Breaking Stereotypes: Age is Just a Number
As a Golden Globe-winning actress, Jane isn’t letting Hollywood’s ageist stereotypes hold her back. "Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t," she insisted. "I’m not sitting around waiting for the phone to ring. In fact, I’m booked solid with movies until the end of the year. It’s incredible what opportunities are still out there, even at my age." Jane’s determination and work ethic continue to inspire fans around the world.
Willa is certainly fortunate to have such a trailblazing role model in her life, and it seems like she’s already following in her grandma’s illustrious footsteps.
