Empty Nesters Embracing Life Together
It’s no secret that Warren Beatty and Annette Bening have been the ultimate power couple in Hollywood for decades. But now, with their kids all grown up and out of the house, these two are embracing a whole new chapter in their relationship. You see, Stephen, 28, Benjamin, 25, Isabel, 23, and Ella, 19, have spread their wings, leaving their parents to rediscover what it means to be Warren and Annette again. And trust me, they’re making the most of it.
“They’ve always been a couple that loves to enjoy life together,” a close friend exclusively tells Closer Weekly. “Now that they’re empty nesters, they’ve been diving headfirst into all sorts of adventures. They love going out for dinner, something they rarely did when the kids were around. They’ve also been hitting up museums, theaters, and watching every film they can get their hands on. They just genuinely enjoy each other’s company.”
Love Story That Stands the Test of Time
Mark this year as another milestone for Warren, 82, and Annette, 61, as they celebrate their 28th wedding anniversary. Their love story began back in 1991 when they starred together in the iconic film Bugsy. The moment they locked eyes, Warren knew he was looking at the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. “I love her and I’m going to marry her,” the Heaven Can Wait star confidently told director Barry Levinson at the time. And just like that, by 1992, they were married in a private ceremony and soon became parents to four beautiful children.

“Annette still has that magical charm that captivates Warren, and Warren continues to sweep Annette off her feet,” shares a close friend. “They’ve never grown tired of each other. Their bond is truly something special.”
Raising Kids in the Spotlight
Once their kids came along, Warren and Annette made a conscious decision to scale back on their work to give their children a more "normal" upbringing. But let’s be honest, raising kids in Hollywood isn’t exactly a walk in the park. “It’s definitely a challenge to have two parents who are well-known,” Warren once admitted to People magazine. “We tried our best to shield our kids from the spotlight, but it wasn’t always easy.”
When their eldest child, Stephen, came out as transgender, it brought its own set of challenges. Annette, reflecting on the experience, told AARP magazine, “When I was younger, I thought I could protect my children from suffering. But seeing Stephen handle such a challenging situation with so much grace and intelligence was truly inspiring.”
