Hey there, friends. You know, sometimes life throws us curveballs, and we’ve all been dealing with some pretty big ones lately. But amidst all the challenges brought on by the coronavirus outbreak, there have been a few unexpected blessings. Take Marie Osmond, for instance. When she found out that The Talk was shutting down production temporarily, she decided to take matters into her own hands and hit the road. She packed her bags, said goodbye to the studio, and set off to visit her kids in Arizona and Las Vegas with her husband, Steve Craig, just to make sure they were all doing okay.

Marie’s Road Trip to Check on Her Family

Marie, who’s been a mom for many years now, felt it was important to check in on each of her children personally. She left the show early and drove straight to Arizona to visit her daughter, Jessica Blosil. Once she made sure Jessica was safe, had enough food, and—let’s be real here—even enough toilet paper, she didn’t stop there. From Arizona, she kept rolling, heading over to Las Vegas to ensure all her other kids were in good shape too. She shared this heartfelt story during a video chat with her cohosts on March 30, explaining how she and her husband, both being of a certain age, had to take extra precautions. So, they left their two youngest children in the capable hands of another daughter, Rachael Krueger, knowing they’d be well taken care of.

    Retreating to a Peaceful Place

After ensuring her children were safe and sound, the 60-year-old singer and mom made her way to her second home in Utah with Steve, who’s 69. “It’s been such a peaceful experience to have this time to reconnect,” she said about the quiet retreat. For Marie, it’s been a time to pause, reflect, and cherish the moments with her husband away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

    A Family Growing Closer

What struck Marie most during this whole situation wasn’t just her own actions but how her family responded to the pandemic. She revealed that her family has a group text where everyone stays connected. “We’ve always been close, but sitting there with my husband, watching the texts come in—they’ve been so heartfelt and beautiful,” she explained. “It’s amazing to see how my kids are growing even closer to one another.”

As a mother, Marie admitted that seeing her children bond like this during tough times has been a source of immense joy. “You always wonder, when you’re no longer around, will your kids stay connected? Will they continue to care for each other? And I know now that they will. They truly love and look out for one another. That’s been such a comforting and incredible realization for me as a mom,” she said, her voice filled with emotion.

    Marie’s Heartfelt Reflection

Isn’t that just the sweetest thing? Marie and her family are truly inspiring. In a world full of uncertainty, they’ve found a way to strengthen their bonds and lean on each other like never before. It’s a reminder that even in the hardest times, there’s always room for love, laughter, and connection.
