Jonathan Scott’s Heart is Full with Zooey Deschanel
It’s no secret that Zooey Deschanel has become an essential part of Jonathan Scott’s life. The beloved Property Brothers star recently shared some heartwarming details about his relationship with the New Girl actress while they’ve been spending time together during the coronavirus pandemic. Their quarantine experience has turned out to be something truly special.
During a virtual appearance on The Talk on April 13, Jonathan, who is 41 years old, couldn’t help but gush about how amazing this time has been. “It has not been difficult at all. In fact, it’s been a blessing,” he said. “I’m usually traveling and filming all the time, so now that we’re together constantly, it’s been fantastic.”

Jonathan’s Perfect Quarantine Companion
Jonathan went on to express just how grateful he is to be spending this time with Zooey. “If I had to choose anyone in the entire world to be isolated with, she’s the one,” he said with a smile, chatting with cohosts Sharon Osbourne, Marie Osmond, Carrie Ann Inaba, Eve, and Sheryl Underwood. “She’s an incredible cook, and she’s a musician, so there’s always music filling the house. It’s been such a joy to have her around.”
He detailed some of their fun activities, painting a vivid picture of their days together. “She was playing the piano last night, and we were singing together. It’s been a beautiful experience,” he added, clearly smitten.
Learning New Skills Together
Jonathan also revealed that Zooey has taken on a new skill during their time together. “She cut and colored my hair just for you guys,” he joked. “She did a better job than most of the salons I’ve been to. I’m truly blessed to be enjoying this time with her. She’s simply wonderful.”
While Jonathan and Zooey are relatively new in the Hollywood dating scene, they’ve already established themselves as a strong and loving couple. Jonathan, who was previously married to Kelsy Ully, and Zooey, who shares kids Elsie, 4, and Charlie, 2, with her ex-husband Jacob Pechenik, aren’t shy about showcasing their blossoming romance.

On April 13, Jonathan posted a sweet snapshot of himself and Zooey while celebrating Easter in quarantine. “Hope everybody had a safe and happy Easter and gave extra [love] to those you care about,” he wrote in the caption.
A Magical Valentine’s Day
In February, Jonathan couldn’t help but express his admiration for Zooey as they celebrated their first Valentine’s Day together. “Ingredients for the perfect Valentine’s,” he captioned a fun photo collage. “One part great fun, one part great food, one part Zooey … tonight was magical.”
When Jonathan started dating Zooey last year, he gave fans a glimpse into what he hoped for in a future wife. “Somebody who’s articulate, has a great sense of humor, and a fun, optimistic outlook on life,” he told Closer Weekly at an event in October 2019. “And someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously.”
It’s clear that Jonathan and Zooey are a perfect match, and their love story continues to warm our hearts!
