How Alec And Hilaria Baldwin Navigate Coronavirus Conversations With Their Kids

Alec & Hilaria Baldwin Don't Talk About Coronavirus in Front of Kids

Facing the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic has been tough for families around the world. Alec Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, opened up to Howard Stern about how they handle discussing the virus with their children. Their approach? Keeping things light and avoiding fear-based conversations in front of the little ones.

“My wife and I make it a point to step into another room when we need to talk about the nitty-gritty details of what’s happening,” Alec, 61, shared during the March 25 episode of The Howard Stern Show. “We don’t want to burden them with fear or stress. They’re kids, and they deserve to enjoy their childhood without worrying about things they can’t control.”

Striking a Balance Between Honesty and Comfort

Hilaria, 36, echoed her husband’s sentiments, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a calm environment for their children. “Kids are incredibly perceptive—they pick up on more than we realize,” she explained. “Even though they’re curious about what ‘corona’ is, they remain relaxed as long as we don’t let our own anxieties seep into their world.”

When her children inevitably ask questions about the virus, Hilaria takes care to address their concerns honestly but gently. “We explain that there’s a virus going around right now, and Mommy and Daddy are doing absolutely everything possible to keep everyone safe,” she said. “That’s why we’re living differently—no playdates, no outings, no unnecessary risks. It’s temporary, but it’s necessary to ensure we’re all okay.”

A Focus on Quality Family Time

Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Hilaria and Alec have found a silver lining: more quality time with their children—Carmen, 6, Rafael, 4, Leonardo, 3, and Romeo, 1. “They absolutely love having us around so much more,” Hilaria gushed. “It’s been a beautiful opportunity to connect with them in ways we might not have otherwise.”

    Staying Informed During Uncertain Times

As the situation with COVID-19 continues to evolve, it’s crucial to rely on credible sources for the latest information. For the most accurate updates, guidance, and support, turn to trusted organizations like the CDC, WHO, and local public health officials. If you’re experiencing symptoms, reach out to your healthcare provider for advice.
