When life throws curveballs, music has always been Ozzy Osbourne's go-to source of solace. In a candid moment, the legendary "Crazy Train" singer revealed that his latest album, Ordinary Man, played a pivotal role in helping him navigate the challenges posed by his Parkinson's diagnosis. Speaking openly about his battle with the disease, Ozzy shared how the creative process of making music became a beacon of light during an otherwise uncertain time.
“The entire album seemed to come together like magic, and it was such a blast,” Ozzy, now 71, reminisced during an interview with ET, published on May 20. “It was exactly what I needed to pull myself out of that dark place and focus on my recovery. Music has this incredible power to lift your spirits, and that’s exactly what it did for me.”

Revisiting Ordinary Man: A Musical Milestone
Released in February, Ordinary Man marked a significant milestone for Ozzy, coming nearly a decade after his previous album, Scream, which hit shelves in June 2010. The record features 11 brand-new tracks and collaborations with some of the biggest names in music. Among them is Elton John, who joined forces with Ozzy on the title track, "Ordinary Man," and rapper Post Malone, who lent his talents to "It’s a Raid" and "Take What You Want From Me." These collaborations not only showcased Ozzy's enduring influence but also highlighted his ability to adapt and thrive in an ever-evolving musical landscape.

Ozzy's Journey with Parkinson's Disease
Earlier this year, Ozzy made headlines when he publicly disclosed his diagnosis with Parkinson's disease alongside his wife, Sharon Osbourne, during an appearance on Good Morning America in January. “I’ve never been good at keeping secrets,” Sharon admitted, explaining that Ozzy had been managing his condition with nerve pills and medication. “It’s not something I could carry around anymore because I was running out of excuses, you know?”
At the time of the announcement, Ozzy was forced to cancel his highly anticipated world tour to focus on his health and undergo necessary treatments. However, the challenges didn’t end there. With the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, Ozzy's plans to return to the stage were further delayed, leaving him with more time at home than ever before.
