Let’s talk about Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and their adorable little boy, Archie. Since the trio made the big move to Los Angeles, they’ve been closer than ever to Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland. And according to an insider, Doria is going to play an incredible role in Archie’s life. She’s definitely going to be a positive influence on him, shaping him into the kind of person we’d all want our kids to grow up to be. This is straight from Closer Weekly.
Meet Grandma Doria: The Spiritual Rock in Archie's Life
At 63 years young, Doria Ragland is not just any grandma. She’s a yoga instructor, a spiritual woman, and someone who’s completely comfortable in her own skin. The insider tells us that Doria is guiding Archie with her wisdom and calm demeanor, ensuring that he grows up to be an amazing human being. She already sees a lot of promise in her grandson, and she couldn’t be prouder.

Raising Archie with Freedom and Choices
Doria raised Meghan to be strong in her beliefs, and now she’s thrilled to see Archie growing up with the same kind of freedom. This wouldn’t have been possible if Harry and Meghan had stayed in the royal family. The insider explains that Doria believes it’s healthier for Archie to have a more normal upbringing. She wants her grandson to grow up making his own decisions in life, which is something that would’ve been harder to achieve within the confines of the royal family.

Why Moving to L.A. Was the Right Decision
Let’s face it, raising a kid with a “normal upbringing” while being part of the royal family is tough. That’s why Harry, 35, and Meghan, 38, decided to step back. Back in March, they made their final appearance as senior royals. Once they moved to Los Angeles, they never looked back. It was a bold move, but one that seems to be paying off for them and, most importantly, for Archie.
“Doria never put any pressure on Meghan to leave the royal family, but she’s absolutely thrilled to have Archie closer to home,” the source reveals. “She can’t wait to spend more time with her grandson and really get to know him properly, once this pandemic is over.”
Until then, Doria’s going to have to FaceTime with Archie. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex aren’t taking any chances with COVID-19. When they go out to do their volunteer work, they come back home and immediately wash their hands. Meghan, in particular, is super vigilant about keeping the house clean. She’s going through boxes of disinfectant wipes every day, washing her hands every 15 minutes, and making sure Harry keeps up with her routine.
Surrounded by Love and Support
Archie is incredibly lucky to have so many amazing people in his life, from his parents to his grandma. He’s surrounded by love and care, and it’s clear that everyone involved is committed to giving him the best possible start in life.
