Here’s something that’ll put a smile on your face. Maureen McCormick, the beloved actress best known for her role as Marcia Brady, recently chimed in on an Instagram post by Donny Osmond. Donny, who’s been making headlines for his charm and talent since his "Puppy Love" days, shared a heartfelt post about a romantic dinner date with his wife, Debbie Osmond, at the Sundance Mountain Resort. Maureen, ever the romantic, couldn’t help but suggest a double date. Talk about wholesome!
Maureen’s Heartfelt Reaction
Maureen, now 63, left a sweet comment under Donny’s post, saying, “Love this! Now all you two lovebirds need is a drive-in theater.” She added two red-heart emojis for good measure. Donny, who’s 62, didn’t miss a beat. He liked Maureen’s comment and responded with enthusiasm, calling her idea “brilliant.” He even went a step further, saying, “Next weekend… drive-in theater!” Can you imagine? Two iconic power couples cruising into a drive-in theater together. Sounds like the perfect date night!
View this post on InstagramAs many of you know, @sundanceresort is a very special place for Debbie and me. And since we are all getting a little bit of cabin fever, I decided to take my wife out to dinner. But where? Sundance of course. They just started the Sundance Car Cafe. It’s such a brilliant idea. We made reservations, drove up to Sundance, and parked in our reserved parking space that abides by the social distancing restrictions. Our waitress, Lindsay, brought us a menu, and she couldn’t have been nicer. We ordered our food and they brought it right to the car. We had the nicest time eating our dinner, enjoying the scenery and reminiscing about all of the wonderful memories we share at this beautiful place in #Utah – all in the comfort of our car. It was the perfect #DateNight. 😉❤️

The Drive-In Suggestion
One fan suggested the Water Gardens Cinema in Pleasant Grove, Utah, as the perfect spot for a drive-in experience. Maureen, clearly inspired by the idea, responded enthusiastically, saying, “So cool! I miss drive-in theaters.” But she wasn’t about to go alone. A few minutes later, the Teen Angel actress added three blushing emojis and playfully said, “@DonnyOsmond let’s double date in cars side by side.” It’s moments like these that remind us why we love celebrities—they’re just like us, except they’ve got the charm and charisma to make even a drive-in date sound magical.
Donny’s Romantic Gesture
While Maureen waits for Donny’s reply, the Masked Singer alum continues to make the most of his time in Utah with Debbie. Donny shared in his Instagram post that the Sundance Mountain Resort holds a special place in his heart—it’s where he and Debbie shared their first kiss. Now that’s romance! Donny explained the setup of their dinner date at the Sundance Car Cafe: “We made reservations, drove up to Sundance, and parked in our reserved parking space that abides by the social distancing restrictions.”
He continued, “Our waitress, Lindsay, brought us a menu, and she couldn’t have been nicer. We ordered our food and they brought it right to the car.” Sounds like the perfect combination of safety and romance, doesn’t it? Donny and Debbie enjoyed their dinner while reminiscing about the beautiful memories they’ve created in Utah over the years.

Debbie and Donny took all necessary precautions during their outing, ensuring they only interacted with their waitress to keep themselves and others safe. “We had the nicest time eating our dinner, enjoying the scenery and reminiscing about all of the wonderful memories we share at this beautiful place in #Utah,” Donny wrote. “It was the perfect #DateNight.” Who wouldn’t want to recreate that magic with a double date?
