“My daughter Rachael and I are very similar in a lot of ways,” Marie revealed exclusively to Closer Weekly in October 2019. “She has that same personality that I have where she wants to know and do everything. She’s never satisfied. She just took a hair class and now she’s taking this [other] class.” It’s clear that both daughters have inherited Marie’s drive and passion for creativity.

I probably will work until I’m dead just because it’s always been a safe place for me. When life brought lots of lemons, work was my lemonade and it gave me … I had to support my family and it was just a safe place. I loved it.”
Despite her love for her career, Marie has always made it clear that her family comes first. “Out of all the awards and accolades that I have been blessed with throughout my life, nothing comes close in comparison with the blessings I receive from being a mother to my eight children and grandma,” she shared with Closer in 2016.
