“I haven’t gotten to hug my parents. I want to hug my parents. I miss hugging my parents,” Kelly confessed to her cohost Ryan Seacrest on an April episode of Live With Kelly and Ryan. At the time, Kelly admitted she wasn’t speaking to two of her kids, and her son Michael’s college graduation ceremony was canceled. Despite these challenges, she kept things in perspective, reminding herself of the larger issues affecting so many families around the world.
“Again, these are small problems considering that so many people are losing their loved ones and [are] very, very sick. But it just, it is what it is, you know what I mean?” Kelly shared. Interestingly, Michael didn’t seem too bothered by the lack of ceremony, which brought a bit of relief to Kelly.

Even when physically apart, Kelly made sure to honor both her mom and mother-in-law on Mother’s Day.
