W. Bush. Jenna recalled the beautiful prayers Savannah wrote after the former president's passing in November 2018. “After my grandfather died, Savannah wrote these incredible prayers,” Jenna said. “She invited me to read them at church on the first Sunday after his funeral.”
Jenna admitted that reading the prayers in public was incredibly difficult. “I stood up in front of this church that we go to, and I just lost it. I couldn’t read. I was shaking,” she confessed. Despite her best efforts, Jenna found herself overwhelmed with emotion. “I was shaking so hard, sobbing so much that Savannah kind of had to step in,” Jenna remembered. “But that’s what a truly amazing friend does — they step in when you’ve lost your voice.”
