In a heartfelt message, expecting mom Hilaria Baldwin shared her hopes for change amidst the global Black Lives Matter movement. The renowned yoga instructor, who is expecting her fifth child, expressed gratitude toward the protestors working tirelessly to create a safer and more inclusive world for her children, including Carmen, 6, Rafael, 4, Leonardo, 3, and Romeo, 2, following the tragic death of George Floyd.

A Mother’s Hope for Change

“I’ve woken up countless times just to check on my kids. It’s a mixture of deep sadness for the hate and injustices in this world, but also immense awe and inspiration for the incredible change that’s being driven by people coming together,” Hilaria candidly wrote alongside a tender photo of her daughter Carmen sleeping, shared via Instagram Stories on June 3. “I’m filled with solid intention that this generation will grow up in a more peaceful and safe environment.”

“I give thanks to every single person who is making this happen right now,” Hilaria continued, expressing her gratitude as the author of The Living Clearly Method, which she shares with her husband, Alec Baldwin.

On her Instagram Stories, Hilaria also shared a sweet snapshot of her youngest, Romeo. The loving mother of four expressed her heartbreak for all the children who have experienced racism and other racial injustices growing up in this world.

“Dear babies everywhere, so many people are working tirelessly to make this world a better place for you, regardless of race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation,” she emphasized. “A place where everyone can feel safe and included.”

Despite the heaviness of current events, Hilaria remains committed to holding her children close and cherishing every moment. The Spanish writer, who married Alec Baldwin in 2012, is eagerly looking forward to expanding her family after experiencing two miscarriages since April 2019.

“Sound up … let the baby do the talking because I don’t have the words to express how this sound makes us feel,” Hilaria captioned a video of her ultrasound while announcing her pregnancy back in April. “Just got the great news that everything is well and healthy with this little munchkin. I wanted to share this with you. Here we go again.”

However, Hilaria admitted she has mixed feelings about learning new details about her fifth child. Due to her previous losses, she revealed she isn’t focused on whether it’s a boy or girl, but rather on ensuring the baby’s growth and development.

“This pregnancy is different for me compared to some of my other pregnancies … because of the trauma I experienced after losing a baby at four months,” she explained during an Instagram Q&A in early May. “So, for now, I’m not ready to go there. I just want to know if the baby is healthy.”

Stay strong, Hilaria. Your resilience and love are truly inspiring.
