Let’s take a trip down memory lane. Can you believe it’s been nearly four decades since the curtain fell on Donny and Marie? The legendary variety show was more than just a hit—it was a life-changer for Donny Osmond and his sister Marie Osmond. Donny recently opened up about the profound impact the show had on their lives after they landed the starring roles back in the day.
Donny, who’s now 62, took a moment to reminisce with a heartfelt caption on a throwback photo from July 2. The black-and-white snapshot features him with his sister Marie, now 60, and the show's two producers, Sid Krofft and Marty Krofft. The image captures the magic of the Donny and Marie taping in 1976, staged at the KTLA Studios in Hollywood. “Throwing it back to 1976 for a taping of the Donny and Marie show in front of a live studio audience,” Donny wrote.

Looking at this photo, Donny’s memories come flooding back. “Marie and I had no clue about the incredible journey that lay ahead of us,” he fondly recalled. “That TV show truly transformed our lives. It opened doors we never imagined could exist.” The nostalgia is real, and it’s hard not to feel the warmth in his words.

Wow!” The sentiment was mutual, showing just how special the experience was for everyone involved.
