Let’s talk about the one and only Marie Osmond. You know her from the iconic Donny & Marie show, and now she’s sharing some heartwarming moments as a grandma. Marie has always been a beacon of love and positivity, and that hasn’t changed as she dives into her role as a grandmother. Spoiling her eight grandkids is just part of the fun, and she’s here to tell us all about it.

Marie’s Role as a Supportive Grandma

Marie Osmond isn’t just a legend in Hollywood; she’s also a grandma who knows how to step in when her family needs her most. She recently spoke with Closer about being there for her grandkids and offering a helping hand to her daughters and daughter-in-law when they’re overwhelmed. “Like, I went in and helped her out for a couple of days and just gave them a break so they could go away and celebrate their anniversary,” she shared. It’s not just about babysitting—it’s about creating those precious moments where everyone can relax and recharge.

From Mom to Grandma: A Journey of Love

Marie’s journey as a mother began when she welcomed her first child in 1983. Over the years, she became the proud mom of eight children: Stephen, Rachael, Matthew, Jessica, Brandon, Brianna, Abigail, and her late son Michael. Being a mom was something she took immense pride in, and now, as a grandma, she’s continuing that legacy of love. She recently shared a story about visiting her daughter in L.A., where she spent time playing with her grandkids while her daughter and son-in-law enjoyed some much-needed alone time. “Wow, isn’t it nice grandma’s here?” she overheard them say. It’s moments like these that remind her how rewarding it is to be a grandma.

Marie admits she’s all about having fun with her grandkids—Stephen, Rocket Jade, Christian, Maxwell, Maude, Wolf, Mabel, and Olive. “It’s like getting your kids back on steroids,” she says with a laugh. “You get to do all the loving and none of the discipline. It’s really fun.” And if that wasn’t enough, she’s also been focusing on herself, losing 50 pounds on Nutrisystem and feeling better than ever at 62. For Marie, being in great shape means she can keep up with her grandkids and be the best grandma possible.

Even after decades in the entertainment industry and raising her own family, Marie continues to grow and learn. “I was always the financial support of the family, and with the last child leaving and everything… every decade, you reevaluate yourself, especially as a woman,” she reflects. “What is it that I need to learn through this decade? What can I do to become a better person or grow? One of the things I’ve said recently is I’m not afraid to close the door. Sometimes we’re afraid to move on from something that may be good in a job but not good for our environment and physical happiness.”
