A Summer Affair in New York
Hoda and Joel, 63, have been engaged for nearly two years, but the pandemic put their plans on hold more times than they can count. Thankfully, the couple has finally set a date for their big day. “She wants to marry Joel this summer in New York, surrounded by close family and friends,” the source revealed. Back in November 2019, Hoda made the exciting announcement during an episode of Today. “I have to tell you something that a friend of mine, a friend of ours, asked me to let you guys in on a secret,” she shared with her audience. “Her initials are Hoda Kotb and she’s engaged.”
Hoda went on to describe the magical moment when Joel proposed. “We were on vacation, and we ended up having a little dinner on the beach,” she recalled. “He was like, ‘I have something else I would like to say,’ and then he said some beautiful things and got down on one knee.
