A Surprising Musical Legacy

Hey there, friends! Did you know that Cher, the one and only Queen of Reinvention, and the legendary Gregg Allman, the soulful voice of the Allman Brothers Band, have a child together? Their son, Elijah Blue Allman, was born in July 1976, during one of the most vibrant eras in music history. Tragically, Gregg passed away in May 2017 at the age of 69 from complications of liver cancer. But today, Elijah continues to carry the torch of his iconic parents, shining brightly in the world of music.

The Rise of Deadsy

Elijah Blue, known professionally as Elijah Blue or P. Exeter Blue, isn't just resting on his famous family name. He's carved out his own niche as the lead singer and guitarist of the California-based heavy metal band Deadsy. Founded in 1995, Deadsy was born from the collaboration between Elijah and two other talented musicians, Alec Puro (stage name Alec Püre) and Renn McDonnell Hawkey (stage name Dr. Nner). Together, they created a sound that was both raw and powerful, capturing the hearts of heavy metal fans around the globe.

Albums and a Hiatus

Deadsy released three studio albums over the years: Deadsy in 1997, Commencement in 2002, and Phantasmagore in 2006. Each album showcased the band's growth and evolution, pushing the boundaries of heavy metal music. However, in 2007, the band announced an indefinite hiatus, leaving fans wondering what the future held for Elijah. But fear not, because Elijah didn't stop there. He went on to release music through the group Elijah Blue and the Trapezoids, continuing to explore his artistic expression.

    Following in Iconic Footsteps

While Elijah has worked tirelessly to forge his own path, it's no secret that his parents' influence played a significant role in shaping his career. Both Cher and Gregg Allman were musical icons in their own right, and their passion for music undoubtedly inspired Elijah's journey. According to the Huffington Post, Elijah received his first guitar from none other than KISS bassist Gene Simmons. By the age of 13, he was already on tour with his mother, Cher, experiencing the thrill of life on the road. He even made a memorable appearance as a guitarist in Cher's iconic music video for "If I Could Turn Back Time." Believe it or not, Elijah once auditioned to join Nine Inch Nails as a bandmate but didn't land the gig. But hey, every setback is a setup for a comeback, right?

    A Family Tree of Musicians

Through his parents' other marriages, Elijah is a half-brother to a talented group of individuals, including Chaz Bono, Delilah Allman, Michael Allman, Layla Allman, and Devon Allman. While Elijah and Chaz grew up together, they have since grown apart. Elijah once shared with Entertainment Tonight, "We were close. I think what happened was Chaz went off to a performing arts school back east and I went off back east as well, later to prep school, and so from there we kind of took different paths. But for a minute growing up, we were kind of close, yeah... we kind of grew apart when we started going
