Delving Into the New Season

With Bosch: Legacy already picked up for a second season, fans can expect to see Honey Chandler dealing with the aftermath of the events from the final season of Bosch. Rogers elaborates, “A lot of what you’ll see this season is how she sort of deals with the aftermath of what happened on the last season of Bosch, and the assassination attempt. We delve into her struggle for recovery, showcasing a more fractured version of this character who has both emotional and physical trauma that she’s dealing with.”

While Bosch was primarily focused on the character of Harry Bosch, Bosch: Legacy shifts its focus to include Honey Chandler as one of the three main leads alongside Harry Bosch and his daughter Maddie Bosch. Rogers notes, “In terms of my character, I’m more involved; we get to spend more time with me and delve into my life and issues more substantively than we did in the previous iteration.”

A New Direction for Honey Chandler

Rogers shares insights into Honey Chandler’s career shift, explaining, “Her career has also started taking a slight turn. She’s chosen to go with a more low-key, smaller civil rights-oriented firm. For her, it’s about justice—trying to find justice for herself and others. This is part of her healing process.”

    Behind the Scenes

Rogers discusses her preparation for portraying Chandler’s recovery process, saying, “I wanted to show this recovery process in as realistic a light as possible. Recovery is an ongoing process, and I wanted to be very real about that.”

She adds, “You will see this season that Chandler is seeing a therapist, and there’s a lot that is much more intimately revealed about her, especially through those scenes, than we’ve ever seen in the seven seasons of Bosch that preceded it.”

    Challenging Scenes

Recalling the assassination scene, Rogers says, “When I saw it put together, I was really impressed with how it was shot. It’s almost mundane, like you walk, you turn a corner, and it just happens—it’s so shocking and startling.”

Some of her notable works include NCIS, Blue Bloods, How to Get Away with Murder, Mad Men, and Ash vs. Evil Dead. Words of Wisdom

Rogers emphasizes the importance of staying in the moment, saying, “Probably the biggest thing is just kind of stay in the moment. That’s all that exists, this moment.”

Reflecting on her journey, she adds, “It’s all gonna be OK! I still read the news and take a deep breath. We just have to assume it’s all going to be OK.”
