Let me tell you a story about love, family, and a little fashion twist. Drew Scott, one of the stars of the hit HGTV show Property Brothers, found the love of his life in Linda Phan. Their story began in 2010 at Toronto Fashion Week, and since then, it's been nothing short of magical. The couple tied the knot in 2018, and by December 2021, they announced they were expecting their first child. Their little miracle, Parker James, was born in May 2022.
How It All Began: A Fashion Week Encounter
It was a typical day at Toronto Fashion Week—or was it? Linda Phan was dressed up as the "fashion police," handing out tickets for less-than-stellar fashion choices. Drew Scott spotted her backstage, where she was chatting with her sister. He couldn't resist approaching her. As Drew later recounted to People in December 2016, "She was wearing a big cop badge and giving out tickets for 'bad' fashion." He thought to himself, "Oh, she’s attractive and she had a great personality." Little did he know that this chance encounter would change his life forever.

First Date and Beyond: A Match Made in Heaven
For their first date, Drew and Linda went out for sushi, enjoyed some hot chocolate, and ended the night at a karaoke bar. Talk about a memorable evening! Once they decided to make things official, Linda joined Drew and his brother Jonathan Scott’s production company, Scott Brothers Entertainment. Linda quickly discovered her passion for crafting and DIY projects. As Drew said in an April 2017 interview with Entertainment Tonight, "She’s great. That’s why she’s the creative director with our company. She has an architectural design background, and she has brilliant ideas and great aesthetic. She’s really our property sister, we can say."

Living Together: The Scott Brothers and Linda
In 2012, Linda moved into Drew's Las Vegas home. While they were also living with Jonathan at the time, she didn’t find it strange at all. In fact, it brought them all closer and really helped their working relationship. "People were always like, 'Isn’t that weird?' But there’s an ease to it," Linda told People in May 2017. "You wake up and you go to work. It’s nice and really convenient to be able to have meetings with the people you live with."
Love and Marriage: A Fairytale Wedding
Drew proposed to Linda at Piano Piano restaurant in Toronto in 2017. Linda’s three older sisters helped her choose two stunning wedding dresses for their big day. When it came to picking a destination for their wedding, the couple had one requirement: somewhere they could enjoy pizza, pasta, and gelato. They said "I do" in a beautiful May 2018 wedding in Italy.
The pair celebrated another milestone by buying a house together and documenting their home renovations on Property Brothers at Home: Drew’s Honeymoon House. They decided their Los Angeles home would be the perfect place to start their family. After undergoing fertility treatments, they announced in a December 2021 Instagram post that they were expecting their first child.
Welcoming Parker James: The Scott Family Grows
"It has been an adventure to get here! We know we’re not alone in this experience and that everyone is filled with unique challenges along the way," the couple wrote alongside a photo of Linda’s baby bump. "When we first started down this path, we quickly felt so appreciative of the doctors we’ve been fortunate to work with, and fam and friends who supported us throughout, sharing their stories or simply just being there." In June 2022, the couple announced on their podcast that they welcomed their first child, son Parker James, a month earlier. Linda was in labor for 44 hours but was happy to have her supportive hubby by her side through it all.
During a podcast episode, Linda revealed, "Other than pooped, I feel great. Very happy that he’s finally here. I’m still in awe and in disbelief. I feel like every step of this pregnancy has taken me time to adjust. And then as soon as I almost adjust, it’s onto the next milestone or the next thing. I feel like I’m always playing catch-up with my feelings."
