Staying Connected: Colin's Journey Through Updates
Colin didn’t just share his diagnosis once and leave it at that. He kept fans in the loop every step of the way. On January 22, 2025, he posted a follow-up video, sharing that he had spent just a couple of days in the hospital for his surgery. “The doctors said everything went smoothly,” Colin revealed, adding that while he was still a bit sore, he was already walking gingerly to aid his recovery.
By January 23, 2025, Colin returned to Instagram with another update. This time, he talked about his first post-surgery check-up. “Things are looking good, and I’m feeling positive,” he wrote. “The team at City of Hope hospital has been phenomenal, and their cancer fighters are truly heroes.”
Colin also opened up about the emotional ups and downs of his journey. “There are moments when I feel like I’ve got this, and then there are moments when the weight of it all feels overwhelming,” he admitted. “It’s a mix of gratitude, fear, hope, frustration, anger, and even folly. But I’ve learned that it’s okay to feel these emotions. Allowing myself to process them without judgment is part of the healing process.”
He encouraged others to embrace their feelings too. “Healing isn’t just about the physical—it’s about the emotional and mental aspects as well,” Colin said. “Taking the time to slow down and let everything out, without trying to fix it or explain it, has been so helpful for me.”

Colin's Past Battles: Testicular Cancer and Beyond
This isn’t Colin’s first time facing cancer. Back in 2006, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer, undergoing surgery to remove a tumor. Unfortunately, the cancer returned a year later in his other testicle. Through it all, Colin battled back and eventually became cancer-free. In a rare interview in 2019, he spoke candidly about his experience.
“Testicular cancer is one of those things that men often don’t want to talk about,” Colin explained. “But I noticed that my left testicle had swollen, so I went to the doctor. They ran tests—an ultrasound, blood work—and discovered it was pretty advanced. The surgery revealed that cancer cells had spread through my veins and arteries to my kidneys. It was a tough road, but I’m grateful for the support I received and the lessons I learned.”
