In Boston Blue, Donnie Wahlberg will reprise his role as NYPD officer Danny Reagan, this time taking on a new position with the Boston Police Department. The spinoff promises to expand the universe of Blue Bloods, bringing fresh energy and excitement to the franchise.
So far, Donnie, 55, is the only confirmed cast member returning to the fold, though many fans are hopeful that other original cast members will make appearances. According to insiders, Tom Selleck, 80, has expressed interest in making a cameo appearance in the new series, which is set to premiere during the 2025-2026 broadcast season.
“Tom has been very vocal about his feelings regarding the network’s decision to end Blue Bloods.
