Hey there, friends! If you're into interior design and love a good home renovation story, then you're going to adore this one. Ree Drummond, the queen of The Pioneer Woman, recently shared some exciting updates from her latest home improvement project. On Tuesday, July 11, Ree took to Instagram to reveal a fresh new look for her office space that’s both stylish and functional.
In a playful nod to life’s imperfections, Ree captioned a photo of her newly renovated space with, “The dogs will get mud all over this but you only live once.” It’s clear that Ree’s approach to decorating is all about embracing life’s little messes while still creating a space that reflects her vibrant personality. And let me tell you, the results are stunning.
A Splash of Color Makes All the Difference
Ree, who’s 54 and counting, decided to add a bold pop of color to her office by installing geometric floor tiles. These tiles aren’t just any old tiles—they’re a true reflection of Ree’s lively spirit. With their striking red, blue, and yellow hues, these tiles bring an energy and vibrancy that’s hard to miss. It’s like walking into a room that instantly makes you smile.

For those who’ve followed Ree’s journey since she first graced our screens in 2011, it’s no surprise that she’s drawn to primary colors. Over the years, she’s built a reputation for incorporating these bright shades into her designs. From her popular homeware collections sold at various retailers to her own home spaces, primary colors and floral patterns have become her signature style. It’s a look that’s both timeless and fresh.

Crystal Chandeliers and Floral Wallpaper
Ree didn’t stop at the floors. She also shared a sneak peek of her new crystal chandelier, which she proudly installed in her office. It’s a piece that adds just the right amount of elegance and sparkle to the space. In another post, she expressed her excitement about having a dedicated spot for all her belongings. “Ree Ree’s office,” she wrote. “I’m so happy to have a place to put all of my stuff.”
Over the past few months, Ree has been sharing lots of photos from her ongoing home renovation projects. One standout feature is the floral wallpaper she chose for her office walls. It’s a perfect match for her eclectic style, adding a touch of nature and whimsy to the room. She also incorporated pops of green throughout the space, along with marble countertops, creating a balanced blend of colors and textures.
A New Chapter in a Familiar Place
Ree and her husband, Ladd Drummond, recently made the decision to move their family from their longtime farmhouse in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, to a new home on their ranch property. The couple, who have five children—Alex, Paige, Bryce, Todd, and foster son Jamar—has cherished countless memories in their old home. However, due to structural damage, they had no choice but to leave their beloved farmhouse behind.
Though downsizing wasn’t easy, Ree and her family didn’t have to venture far to find their new home. They simply packed up their belongings, crossed the yard, and moved into a smaller house right next door. As Ree told People in May 2022, “We packed our things and walked across the yard—it was so funny—and moved in.”
Looking ahead, Ree and Ladd, both 54, dream of building their ultimate dream home, complete with all the amenities their family of seven could ever need. But for now, they’re perfectly content in their cozy new space. Even their dogs have adjusted beautifully, finding comfort on the front porch where they each have their own little bed. “They set up shop on the front porch,” Ree shared. “They’re outdoor dogs mostly anyway, and they have a whole barn to themselves if they want to go sleep in the barn sometimes, but they hardly ever leave the porch if we’re home. It’s really funny.”
