Mina Starsiak Hawk's Husband, Steve Hawk, Shares Heartfelt Words
Steve Hawk, the supportive husband of Mina Starsiak Hawk, can't help but cheer her on every step of the way. The beloved Good Bones star recently took to Instagram to celebrate Mina's latest achievement, proving that behind every successful woman is a proud partner.
In a series of photos posted on October 21, Steve captioned his post with pure admiration: "Nothing makes me more proud than watching my wife do a speaking engagement. She's got this incredible ability to speak so naturally and confidently, and it almost embarrasses me because I need to prepare notes ten days in advance! But seriously, I couldn’t be prouder of this amazing woman." His words reveal not just pride but also a touch of playful humility.
Saying Goodbye to Good Bones
Just days before Mina’s speaking engagement, she and her Good Bones castmates said a heartfelt goodbye to the show after its series finale aired on October 17. For eight seasons, the home improvement series has been a staple on HGTV, and Mina took a moment to express her gratitude for the journey.

Sharing her emotions on Instagram on October 19, Mina wrote, "While I’m sad that Good Bones is coming to an end, and season 8 marks our final chapter, this experience has truly transformed my life, my family, and my business in ways I never imagined. It’s been an incredible ride, and I will forever cherish the memories we’ve created together."
A Special Season 8 Finale
In the season 8 finale, Mina supervised renovations on her brother Tad Starsiak’s new Indiana home, which he shares with his fiancée, Anna Spiars. Mina’s mom, Karen E. Laine, also joined in, contributing a special DIY project made from feathers for Tad and Anna’s library. It was a touching moment that showcased the family’s bond, even if things weren’t always smooth behind the scenes.
During an episode of her podcast Mina AF on August 28, Mina opened up about the tensions within the family. "I wasn’t in a great place with my mom and brother," she admitted. Yet, despite these challenges, the finale aired with a sense of unity, culminating in Tad proposing to Anna in their newly renovated home.

Fans Celebrate Tad and Anna's Special Moment
While fans couldn’t detect the family tensions during the finale, they were quick to celebrate the joyous moment when Tad proposed to Anna. "Just watched the last episode, and Tad, it’s been such a pleasure watching you and everyone grow in so many ways," one fan commented under Tad’s Instagram post on October 20. "I wish you and Anna all the best, filled with health, love, and joy. You’ve all become like family, and you will be missed."
There’s currently no news about Tad returning to HGTV with a spinoff, but many fans are hopeful he’ll get his own series alongside other Good Bones stars. Meanwhile, it’s confirmed that Mina will star in her own spinoff show with Steve, continuing to bring her unique flair to the screen.
Another fan expressed surprise, writing, "How did I not realize that it was the series finale?!? I just thought you were going to branch out on your own and possibly get your own show! Such a bummer, but I hope to see you all on our screens again sometime!"
