Back in late August, during an episode of her podcast, she opened up about the strained relationships she has with her mom and brothers. “We all put on our big kid pants and pretend to be nice to each other, but then we go back to our corners of the universe and talk s*** about one another,” she explained. “My mom and I aren’t in a great place. Same goes for my relationship with my brother Tad. And my brother William? Honestly, we’re in a kind of nonexistent place. It’s not even complicated—it’s just... broken. We don’t really engage much, and the last time we did, it wasn’t great. That was maybe a year ago.”

Setting Boundaries Amid the Turmoil

The tension with her mom and siblings has deeply affected how Mina feels about attending family gatherings and communicating with certain family members. “I’ve had to set some boundaries because I’m just not comfortable being around some of them right now,” she reflected. “There were situations where I ended up being around certain family members, and now other relatives expect me to show up for everything. But it’s not that easy when you’re carrying so much emotional baggage.”
