The seasoned talk show host made waves during a Friday, August 4 episode when she had a candid exchange with a young guest that had the audience laughing—and maybe a little shocked.
A Young Dancer Steals the Show
During the feel-good segment called "Brighten Your Day," a talented young dancer from San Antonio, Texas, hit the stage to showcase her skills. After an energetic performance, Kelly, 52, couldn’t help but ask, “Are you a real dancer?” The enthusiastic youngster confidently replied, “Yes, ma’am.”
“Ma’am?” Kelly Isn’t Having It
What seemed like a sweet moment between the two quickly took a turn when Kelly quipped back, “You don’t have to call me ‘ma’am,’ I’m only 52!” The audience erupted in laughter, and Kelly quickly added, “Just kidding!” She didn’t want to leave the young dancer feeling awkward, so she reassured everyone that her comment was all in good fun.

Co-host Mark Consuelos jumped in to praise the dancer, telling her she did an amazing job. The couple then shared how they can always spot professional dancers by the fluidity of their movements. After a brief pause, Kelly and Mark, both 52, smoothly transitioned into the next segment.

Kelly didn’t stop there. During another segment, she and Mark had a hilarious conversation about his infamous dad jokes, which, apparently, don’t go over well with their kids, Michael, Lola, and Joaquin.
“My kids cringe at my dad jokes,” Mark admitted, adding, “Also, I always have food on my face… They’re always so weirded out by the food on my face.” He turned to Kelly and asked, “Have you noticed that too?”
Kelly didn’t hesitate to respond, “Yeah, you always have food on your face. It’s weird.”
A Dad Joke for the Ages
Kelly also shared a memorable story from a trip to Mexico for a friend’s birthday. Mark told what might be considered the ultimate dad joke during this outing.
“The beach attendant came over and said, ‘It’s a flag system here. So, you raise this flag if you want more drinks. You raise this flag if you want food. And you raise this flag if you just want to be left alone,’” Kelly recounted. “And Mark says, ‘Which is the flag you raise if your wife is being mean to you?’”
