Steve, who's 42, joked about forgetting his wedding ring after a workout. "Whooooops @mina_starsiak_hawk look what I forgot to put back on after my workout," he wrote. "I’m heading into the wild. Wish me luck, everyone." It was a simple post, but it sparked something unexpected.
Steve’s post seemed innocent enough, but it quickly became the center of attention when Cory Miller decided to respond. Underneath the post, Cory simply commented with a flexed bicep emoji. Mina addressed the situation on her podcast, “Mina AF,” in December 2023. During the episode, she opened up about the falling out, acknowledging the imbalance in their platforms. "So, there’s been enough questions about Cory that I’m going to try to address this in a respectful way again, understanding that I have a platform that he maybe doesn’t have," she said. "Cory and I are not on speaking terms. I am positive that there are things he feels like I did to him, and I have known him since he was 11, and I’ve always had a soft spot for him."
Mina also mentioned that she and Cory had unfollowed each other on Instagram. The state of Steve's relationship with Cory at the time was unclear, but this comment certainly added another layer to the drama. "It’s a super bummer because I have historically had a great relationship with Cory, and when things end particularly like they did, people’s colors just show a little more, which is a blessing because then I have a choice to make a different choice," she added.

The post referenced Mina's recent travel mishap when she forgot her wedding ring and other jewelry during a trip to Phoenix. "I don’t have any earrings; I don’t have my ring. I don’t have my watch. I forgot everything," Mina admitted in an Instagram Story from January 6. After realizing her mistake, she received a playful text from Steve asking, "So you’re just out in Phoenix SINGLE huh?"
