When Christina and Martyn officially started dating in 2009, she had just been diagnosed with cancer. Talk about timing, right? Later, Christina opened up about how her MS diagnosis has affected her parenting. “My daughter has had to see a different side of me as a mom,” she told People. “We used to dance together every day. I would pick her up from school, work in her school library, and always be there for her. Now, if she walks into my room and sees me lying on my side, she knows I can’t do certain things. And that breaks my heart. I want to do everything for her—make her food, bring it to her—but sometimes I just can’t. But I try. I try my best.”
