There’s no stopping Kristin Chenoweth, who’s currently shining brightly as she prepares for her latest musical venture, The Queen of Versailles. At 55, the Tony-winning actress is radiating happiness, both in her professional and personal life. “When I was younger, I think I was so focused on making everyone around me happy,” Kristin confided in Closer during an exclusive chat. “But now, I’ve narrowed it down to doing things that truly bring me joy. And that’s where I find my happiness these days.”
Her newfound joy is amplified by her partnership with Josh Bryant, her 41-year-old guitarist husband, whom she married last September. "Josh and I are more than just partners — we're best friends," Kristin shared warmly. "What connects us deeply is our shared love for music and our faith. I never thought faith would play such a pivotal role in my life before, but when you’re in a marriage, you need that foundation. It’s work, sure, but having common ground makes it so much easier."
In a candid moment, Kristin revealed how she overcame a challenging past, including enduring severe domestic abuse in a previous relationship. "Life is all about evolving, and sometimes those lessons come the hard way," she admitted. "Through prayer and self-discovery, I realized what I wouldn’t tolerate anymore. And let me tell you, if I hadn’t gone through those tough times, I wouldn’t have known that Josh was the one for me. Every experience, good or bad, shapes who we are."

Secrets to Staying Healthy: Kristin Chenoweth's Approach
For two decades, Kristin has battled chronic migraines, but she’s found ways to manage her health with determination. “Botox has been a game-changer for me,” she explained. Partnering with AbbVie in the Center Stage With Chronic Migraine program, she aims to help others facing similar challenges. “I stick to a strict schedule, getting treatments every three months without fail. It’s part of my routine, and it works wonders.”
But it’s not just about medical treatments for Kristin. She emphasizes the importance of treating your body right through lifestyle choices. “I’ve cut back on sodium and alcohol, which has made a huge difference,” she said. “Vitamin D is also a big deal for me. I load up on electrolytes and try to prioritize sleep, although that’s not always easy. The key is to be kind to yourself and listen to what your body needs.”
