There’s nothing quite like starting a new chapter in life, and for Hoda Kotb, it’s all about family and creating memories. The beloved Today show host recently opened up about her first Thanksgiving in her brand-new suburban home just outside of Manhattan. It’s a place where she can gather her loved ones for special moments that truly matter.
A New Home, a Full House
Hoda Kotb, at the age of 60, shared an exciting moment with her cohost Jenna Bush Hager on Today. She explained how this Thanksgiving was different from any other they’ve had before. “We had a full house,” Hoda said with enthusiasm. “Our very first Thanksgiving at a table that seated every single person. In the past, we always sat at a round table that only seated five. This time, we set the table with real plates. It was such a blast.”
Thanksgiving Bliss and More
Hoda couldn’t stop smiling as she recounted the joyous occasion. “It was awesome,” she gushed, her eyes lighting up. She even took to Instagram to share some adorable photos from the event, giving fans a peek into her beautiful new dining room. In one of the pictures, balloons could be seen in the background, hinting at a double celebration — it was also her brother’s birthday!

The dining room featured white plates paired with tan placemats, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. All the delicious Thanksgiving dishes were served in white bowls and platters, adding to the clean and elegant aesthetic. Simple white light fixtures hung above the table, which was positioned in front of a large window, allowing natural light to flood the space. Surrounding the table were chairs adorned with light gray cushions and wooden legs, tying the whole look together.
A Glimpse into Hoda’s Suburban Retreat
From the photos shared, it’s clear that Hoda opted for a simple yet sophisticated white and cream color palette for her home decor. Fans got a chance to admire some of the artwork on the walls, framed in wood, as well as the pristine white cabinets in her kitchen, complemented by a sleek stainless steel oven. The overall vibe is cozy yet chic, perfectly suited for family gatherings.

Hoda’s new home is nestled in the charming town of Bronxville, located in Westchester County, New York, according to the New York Post. It’s no surprise that she chose to move out of the bustling city, especially considering her upcoming departure from Today in January 2025.
“I realized this is the right time for me to move on,” Hoda confessed about her decision to leave the show. “I had my kids later in life, and I feel they deserve more of my time. Time is a finite resource, and I want to give them as much of it as I can.”
Craig Melvin will take over as Jenna Bush Hager’s cohost in the early morning hours of Today, officially stepping into the role on January 13. Hoda’s final episode as a Today host is set for January 10.
Creating a Warm Nest for Her Daughters
For Hoda, moving to her new home wasn’t just about a change of scenery; it was about creating a nurturing environment for her daughters, Haley and Hope. “I want my house to be a place where my kids feel warm and cozy, a spot they love to hang out,” Hoda expressed on Today. Based on the photos she’s shared, it’s evident that she’s succeeded in crafting a lovely space that feels both welcoming and stylish.
