Let’s talk about love, relationships, and everything in between. During a candid conversation on the June 27 episode of The View, beloved co-host Joy Behar made headlines by sharing her openness to exploring romance with a woman. It was one of those moments where the conversation got real, and Joy wasn’t holding back.
Her close friend and guest, Sandra Bernhard—a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community—posed the question directly to Joy, asking if she had ever "gotten it on with a lady." Joy, never one to shy away from honesty, playfully responded, "No. But someday, I will." Sandra, 69, couldn’t resist chiming in with some friendly encouragement: "You better hurry up!" Joy, ever the witty host, shot back, "I’ll do it in my nineties!" Talk about confidence and humor!
A Long and Loving Partnership
For those who may not know, Joy has been happily married to Steve Janowitz since August 11, 2011. Their journey together is nothing short of remarkable, having dated for nearly three decades before tying the knot. That’s right—three decades! Now that’s what you call commitment.

When it came to their wedding day, Joy shared a hilarious yet heartfelt story about the proposal. "If he was going to get down on one knee," she joked during an episode of The View, "I wanted it to be during the time when he could still get up from one knee!" Talk about planning ahead!

How Did Joy and Steve Meet?
Now, here’s a fun fact: Joy revealed during a January episode of The View that she met Steve in 1982 at a semi-nudist colony in Williamsburg, New York. Yes, you heard that right—a semi-nudist colony! When cohost Sarah Haines questioned whether the story was true, Joy confirmed it but clarified that she wasn’t in the buff at the time. "First of all, he was nude, I was dressed," she said. "I don’t wear bathing suits in public. Are you crazy?"
She continued, "He was all the way on the other side of this place, and it was like an adult place. He was far away naked. And then at night, there was a movie playing, and then I saw him fully dressed. But I remembered him from the daytime. It’s true." Talk about love at first sight—or, well, second sight!
