Let’s talk about Jane Seymour. The legendary actress, who’s been wowing audiences for decades, recently opened up about the secret behind her glowing, youthful appearance. And guess what? It’s not plastic surgery. In a candid chat with People magazine, Jane, now 73, set the record straight after hearing whispers that she’d gone under the knife.
Setting the Record Straight
Back in her 40s, Jane was approached by some folks who thought her under-eye area needed work. "Photographers kept telling me I had bulgy eyes," she recalled. So, she went to a doctor to explore her options. But here’s the twist: the doc explained that it wasn’t fat or anything that could be easily fixed—it was actually a muscle. That revelation changed her perspective entirely.
Since then, Jane has decided against any permanent procedures. "I’ve been playing incredible roles lately, including women dealing with Alzheimer’s, and those scenes are emotional powerhouses," she explained. "If you’re going to be that emotional on screen, you need every single muscle in your face working for you. I have nothing against people choosing to enhance their looks, but for me, it doesn’t align with my craft. Unless, of course, I’m playing someone who’s had Botox—then I’d totally consider it!"

The Secret to Her Radiance
So, what’s keeping Jane looking so vibrant? Turns out, it’s all about lifestyle. "I’m a big fan of the Mediterranean diet," she shared. "It’s all about fresh, healthy foods that nourish your body from the inside out. And don’t forget exercise! I incorporate weights into my routine because, let’s face it, as we age, bone density becomes a real concern."
Jane, a proud Golden Globe winner, emphasized the importance of strength training. "A lot of women think cardio or targeted workouts are enough, but building muscle is crucial. I’m not aiming to be the next Arnold Schwarzenegger or a bodybuilder, but I’ve built up some serious strength over the years. These days, I’m lifting between eight to ten pounds regularly. It’s all about balance and staying fit for the roles I want to play."

Skincare and Aging Gracefully
At the CMT Music Awards last month, Jane further elaborated on her approach to aging gracefully. "Taking care of your skin is absolutely essential," she told Fox News Digital on the red carpet. "I focus on eating well—Mediterranean food is my go-to. I also take vitamins and make sure I stay active. It’s all about maintaining a healthy lifestyle."
And when asked about plastic surgery, Jane reiterated her stance. "I don’t go for all the trendy treatments that everyone else seems to be doing. As an actress, I need to remain versatile. One day I might need to play an 85-year-old, and another day, someone much younger. So, anything I can do to stay fit, healthy, and capable of embodying a wide range of characters is what I prioritize."
