For Hoda Kotb, she’s had a few recently on the air, but she made it clear where her heart lies when it comes to her Today costar Jenna Bush Hager. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Hoda revealed that no matter the on-screen hiccups, she’s got nothing but love for Jenna.
Hoda, now 59, and Jenna, who’s 42, are currently in Bermuda filming episodes of Today With Hoda and Jenna. And guess what? The timing couldn’t be more perfect. Not only is it Mother’s Day, but it’s also Jenna’s husband Henry Hager’s birthday and their wedding anniversary. That’s a lot of reasons to celebrate!
“Happy birthday… Happy anniversary… Happy Mother’s Day… Celebrate!” Hoda captioned a sweet photo with Jenna and Henry, who’s 46, on her Instagram page last Thursday, May 9. She added, “Btw @jennabhager I love you dearly.”

A Trip to Remember
Author of Hope Is a Rainbow, Hoda also shared some behind-the-scenes clips from their trip. They’ve been enjoying Bermuda to the fullest, from lounging on the beach to dining at local eateries. This little getaway came just after a series of tense exchanges between the two co-hosts on Today.
That Awkward Jerry Seinfeld Moment
During an episode of the talk show on April 24, Jenna playfully told Jerry Seinfeld that Hoda once used to stalk him outside his New York City apartment. “She used to wait outside and just hope she could get a glimpse of you,” Jenna joked to the comedian. When asked if he was “a little creeped” by the situation, Jerry, now 70, replied with his signature humor, “No, no, I don’t mind a little stalking. A little stalking is OK!”
Amid the laughter and lighthearted banter, Hoda interjected, urging Jenna to “not go into my past.”
More On-Air Tensions
It wasn’t just this one moment that caught everyone’s attention. Sources close to the pair revealed that while they seemed to be getting along fine for a while, lately their on-screen dynamic has been a bit rocky. “They seemed like they were getting along for a while, but lately their nerves are snapping,” a source told Closer this month after the on-air spat.
Another awkward moment happened on April 29 when Hoda couldn’t help but laugh at Jenna for proposing to Henry early on in their relationship. “You practically proposed to him on date three!” Hoda exclaimed during a segment about Jenna’s marriage.
That Security Tag Fiasco
And who could forget the infamous security tag incident? On Monday, May 6, Jenna couldn’t resist pointing out that Hoda still had the security tag on her pants while sitting on the Today stage. Jenna posed the question to the audience, “Should I tell her quietly, or should I just scream it to the world?”

“Hoda, it seems as though you either stole those pants or they forgot to take off the security tag,” Jenna added with a grin.
Hoda, ever the quick thinker, told Jenna that she tried to remove the tag with pliers but ultimately failed. “I don’t care, I don’t care,” the journalist, who is a mom to daughters Hailey and Hope, said with a laugh.
