Let’s talk about Chynna Phillips, the powerhouse behind Wilson Phillips. In a candid update, she revealed that she's set to have a massive, non-cancerous tumor removed from her leg. While the tumor itself isn’t malignant, Chynna admits she's still pretty nervous about the whole ordeal. Let’s dive into what she shared and why this situation has her—and her fans—on edge.

How Long Has Chynna Phillips Been Living with This Tumor?

Chynna opened up about the fact that she’s had this tumor since she was a little girl. Now, before you start panicking, let me clarify—she hasn’t mentioned whether the tumor has been causing any adverse health effects. What we do know is that doctors have finally decided it’s time to remove it. Imagine carrying something like that around for years and finally getting the green light to take it out. That’s got to feel like a relief, right? Well, not exactly. There’s more to the story.

In a heartfelt video posted to her YouTube channel on April 22, 2024, Chynna explained the situation to her fans. “I have a tumor in my left leg,” she said. “They don’t know if I was born with it or not, but it’s totally benign. The thing is, it’s enormous—like, really, really big. We’re talking 14 inches long and four inches wide. It’s been there for as long as I can remember, and now it’s finally time to get it out.”

Chynna titled the video, “My Worst Fear Came True,” which gives you a pretty good idea of how she’s feeling. In the video description, she elaborated, saying, “The one thing I never thought could happen to me actually did. I’m so upset with myself for not seeing the signs earlier. This just goes to show that it can happen to anyone.” She went on to invite her fans to join her on a walk around her neighborhood in California as she processes everything.

Even though Chynna has been under anesthesia plenty of times before—including when she had her breast implants removed—she admitted that it’s still something that makes her uneasy. “I’m absolutely terrified of anesthesia,” she confessed. “It feels like the closest thing to death. I mean, you’re technically unconscious, and that’s a scary thought for me. I know it’s necessary, but it’s not something I’m comfortable with.”

As she walked through the streets of Los Angeles, Chynna explained her fears in more detail. “I’m absolutely petrified of anesthesia, and I can’t help but think of it as the closest thing to death,” she said. “You’re essentially putting your life in someone else’s hands. It’s not an easy thing to process, but that’s where I’m at right now.”

Despite her fears, Chynna shared that she’s turning to her faith to help her through this challenging time. “I know that Jesus can help me with this if I surrender fully,” she added. “It’s not always easy, but I believe in the power of prayer.”

When Is Chynna Having the Tumor Removed?

Chynna revealed that the surgery is scheduled for eight weeks from now, and it will be the fifth operation on that leg. Can you imagine? Five surgeries on the same leg! She joked that she wasn’t exactly thrilled about the whole thing. “I’m not complaining, but I’ve had enough surgeries to last a lifetime,” she admitted. “I’m just not a fan of anesthesia, and I’m going into this kicking and screaming, to be honest.”

Chynna also mentioned that the surgery will require a new incision, which means another scar on her leg. “It’s frustrating because I already have a one-foot scar on my left leg,” she explained. “Now, they’re going to add another one on the interior of my leg. It’s just one of those things I have to accept, though.”
