Taylor played a pivotal role in her dad’s wedding to Heather Rae Young. Walking her father down the aisle was a moment that left Tarek in tears, showcasing just how much she means to him. Tarek opened up about this emotional day in an interview with People. “I walked my mom down the aisle. I was fine. And then the song ‘Shallow’ comes on, which is one of me and Heather’s songs, and I’m going to get Taylor to walk down the aisle, and I just broke down,” he shared. “Taylor, she’s my everything, I just got so emotional.” Taylor’s presence in Tarek’s life is a constant source of joy. He often shares sweet moments with his daughter on social media, like the heartfelt tribute he posted on Valentine’s Day 2021. “Words can’t express just how much I love this girl,” he wrote. “Even writing this and thinking about her puts a huge smile on my face. She’s always been my best friend, especially during my most difficult days. She’s my biggest cheerleader and I work hard every day to make her proud.”

Taylor also shares a special bond with her stepmom, Heather. In an episode of Tarek’s Flip Side, she expressed her admiration for Heather. “When I first met Heather, I felt this bond with her,” Taylor said. “She’s so nice, she does all this kind stuff. She’s the best. I love hanging out with her.” Christina, too, has spoken fondly about watching Taylor grow up. Just before news of her divorce from Josh broke, she reflected on their relationship. “She’s just grown up so much from 12 to 13, and I just love spending time with her,” Christina told People. “I love our conversations. We’re closer than ever … I just love being her mom.” Christina also shared her thoughts on Taylor’s interest in interior design. “I feel like she was more into that prior to being a teenager,” she admitted. “Now, she’s just more into friends and summer, so they want to go to the beach and do their thing,” she continued. “And I understand and I respect that, but I’m sure when she’s older, if she is interested in buying real estate, that that’s something that she would definitely hop back into.”
