Priscilla, now 79 years old, posted a touching video with the caption, “47 years and not a day goes by that I don’t think of you.” In the clip, a youthful photo of Elvis is showcased, accompanied by the iconic song “Always on My Mind” playing softly in the background. It’s a reminder of the deep bond they shared and the enduring legacy Elvis left behind.

Two days before her tribute to Elvis, Priscilla also honored his mother, Gladys Presley, with a poignant post.
“Today, August 14th, Elvis’ mother, Gladys, passed away. She meant the world to him,” Priscilla wrote in the caption of the video. “He shared countless stories about how protective she was. One of them was how she would walk him to school, fearing he’d get bullied by the ‘bad boys.’ He would ask her to stop before they reached the school. Although I never met Gladys, I felt like I knew her through all his stories.”
A Legacy of Love and Music
Elvis and Priscilla shared a beautiful chapter in their lives when they welcomed their daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, into the world. Their marriage, which lasted from 1967 to 1973, created a legacy that continues to inspire. Tragically, Lisa Marie passed away on January 12, 2023, at the age of 54 due to a small bowel obstruction.
Speaking about coping with Lisa Marie’s death, Priscilla opened up in November 2023 during a Q&A session in Las Vegas. “It’s not easy. It still isn’t easy,” she confessed. “It’s still unbelievable, and you have to get yourself through it. … I have to be here for her.”
Keeping Elvis Alive in Hearts
In the decades following Elvis’ passing, Priscilla has been instrumental in preserving his memory. “To be honest, there isn’t a day that goes by when I don’t think of him,” she revealed to The Times U.K. in December 2023. “Just last week, I saw a shirt, and I could almost hear myself saying, ‘Elvis would love that. Should I get it for him?’”
Priscilla also shared her thoughts on what Elvis might have done if he hadn’t been taken so young. “Musically, I think he was pretty content with how things had turned out,” she said. “He loved knowing that his music meant something to people. I remember sitting with him at Graceland, listening to some of the songs he was recording, and I asked him why he sang so many ballads. He answered me right away, ‘Because those songs touch the heart. Life’s truth is in those songs.’ He was absolutely right.”

Priscilla, who has a son named Navarone Garibaldi with her ex-boyfriend Marco Garibaldi, admitted that she often dreams of Elvis. “When someone has been such a significant part of your life, that’s bound to happen,” she explained. “Living with him was like riding a rollercoaster, but I don’t think I’ll ever find anyone I love as much as I loved him.”
