Hoda Kotb recently had a little fun at her Today cohost Jenna Bush Hager's expense, revealing that Jenna had tried to get Hollywood heartthrob Glen Powell's phone number through Instagram. Jenna Goes Full-On Stalker Mode
During the episode, Hoda, who’s no stranger to dishing out some playful banter, couldn’t help but share Jenna's secret mission with the audience. "You were active on Instagram, because, you know, you can tell when someone’s active," Hoda, 59, disclosed with a sly grin. "So, Jenna said that she wanted to DM you to see if you would give her your phone number. She was super strategic about it, too. She waited patiently for hours and hours, checking her phone before bed, thinking you were active again. And guess what? She got nothing back from you!"
Glen, 35, chimed in during his guest appearance, saying, "I sent you my number!" He seemed amused by the whole situation, which made the segment even more entertaining.

Jenna, 42, quickly replied, "I know you did! First of all, Glen, I do whatever anybody ever asks me, and I’m trying to work on my impulsivity. I mean, I didn’t even know I was supposed to be doing this until the producers told me!"
It turns out that the former first daughter was just following orders. The producers of the show had asked her to request Glen’s number so they could arrange a FaceTime session with him on the show. As it turned out, Glen ended up appearing on the show anyway, making the entire situation hilariously unnecessary.
"They asked me to ask you for your phone so we could FaceTime you on the show. They were setting me up to set you up … Last night, I was like, ‘I can’t believe I harassed him in his DMs for his number because they told me to!’" Jenna admitted with a laugh.
Hoda Keeps It Real
Hoda wasn’t about to let Jenna off the hook that easily. "No, you were thinking, ‘Why didn’t he DM me back?’" she teased. The mom of two knows how to keep things lighthearted while also pointing out the obvious – Jenna was clearly excited to hear back from Glen.
Glen eventually did send Jenna his number, but by the time he did, Jenna had already hit the hay. "I really feel bad about this number thing, now," he said with a smile, showing his good-natured side.
"You owe me a DM. I go to bed before 9:50, but thank you for sliding in [to my DMs]," Jenna concluded, bringing the segment to a hilarious close.

Glen's Incredible Summer
Glen’s summer has been nothing short of fantastic, with his movie Twisters hitting theaters on July 19. Interestingly enough, the Scream Queens alum credited Hoda and Jenna for helping him land this role.
During his appearance on Today, Jenna mentioned that she had met Glen at a dinner before he became a Hollywood superstar. "I remember at that dinner all of your friends were like, 'He’s going to be huge!' And you kind of were like, 'OK, guys, shh.' And they were like, 'Book him on your show!'" Jenna explained.
"And we did and we’re thrilled that the director of [Twisters] watched our show and then hired you because of it," Jenna added, highlighting the impact their show had on Glen's career.
"The biggest reason that I’m in Twisters at all is because of you guys," Glen shared, recalling a Today interview he had in 2022. "We had a great segment where I think I was promoting 'Devotion' at the time, and I got to bring my parents on. And we had this great conversation," he said. "And [the director of Twisters] watched that interview and said, 'This is the guy.'" It’s a testament to the power of television and the influence of Hoda and Jenna’s show.
